'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Will he stay or will he go? #9 Freddy P

Introduction

To be honest with you none of us really know what to expect this summer do we? We can only 'hope' that this or that will happen, so we only really have hope, right?

Clearly our priority is to see us taken over, and by someone who will hopefully 'do right by us!' Granted this will be a businessman or businessmen who WILL want some return on this investment, that is football for you! But they do not need to fleece us for all they can!

All in all, like I say, this is going to, in many ways basically be 'guess work' and maybe some will be more ruled by the heart more than the head, also A LOT will depend on things such as Uncle Avram staying or not I guess...

#9 Freddy P

He burst onto the scene during pre-season last summer in the game against Rangers and started the season fairly impressively before fading away a bit and being dropped and warned to work on his fitness etc.

Freddy P has come back strong though to be an impressive player for us - he has scored goals but never looked a real threat all the time, but has worked fairly tirelessly for the team.

Will he stay or will he go?

Go, sadly...

I cannot see how the 'option to buy' can be taken up now that his loan has ended as we cannot afford the Lyon asking fee.

It will be a shame to see him go as he has a Benjani like work rate, yep he might finish like him too at times but all in all seems more likely to score than Benji used to.

He admits himself that he has enjoyed his time and would have liked to stay but knows it would not be possible, which makes it more of a shame as he would be a smash hit in the no power championship I reckon.

I will miss his head back, chest puffed out and arm pumping style of chasing the ball down - it was funny to watch but pretty effective!

There will be no shortage of offers for him, with several premier league sides already 'claimed' to be interested with Blackburn and Fulham among them.

Both Piquionne and Dindane will do well next season with their respective new clubs. Dindane could definitely be in the top 5 scorers and Piquionne, although not a prolific striker, has so much in his game to be a fantastic bargain for anyone.
