Just the one. 1977. We had to beat York to stay in what was Div 3. Great scenes as we ran on the pitch to celebrate. Short lived as we went down the following season to the low of Div 4. I was 10 years old!!!

I was there too Matt and we survived as you say for just one year. I was older than 10!!

I wasn't there I'm too young; I was at the baggies game, I recall being in a pub with some Baggies fans reading an interview with Milan Mandaric. Aware that if we lost scum were going down he was asked by the reporter if Pompey would make a serious effort? Milan responded "of course we are taking this game seriously we are proffessionals - that's why Harry's going upfront and I'm going in goal". We fans laughed team got stuffed, scum went down- oh happy day.

I was at Plymouth too of course. The day we clinched the Division Three title!! Biley and Kemp score on the same day. So all in all 14th May is a good day - survival, a league title and Scummers relegated now that is a good day!!

Opps, I was at the WBA match when we threw the towel in to send the scum down. Unbelievable day!!!
