Now it is Grant's turn!

Now it is Grant's turn!

Uncle Avram being at Pompey next season or not is put on hold this weekend. Growing 'rumours' that he will shortly take over at West Ham with Gus Poyet becoming our new manager are all irrelevant this weekend.

Talk that we will 'fight' for compensation for Uncle Avram as he is under contract for another couple of years, despite the commonly expressed thoughts that he has a 'break' in his contract this summer, all need to be forgotten, and they will - the FA cup, and focusing solely on this is what he, and we will be doing now, right?

Yep, the semi final WAS about Portsmouth Football Club and the monumental achievement we had pulled off to make it, and not about our former manager or players, yet lets face it this finally did lay to rest any ghosts, or at least should have, that fans had about Harry Redknapp and company really. There was a bigger picture to be seen but I have to admit that this well and truly did lay that ghost to rest for me - and I had this feeling that it was 'meant to be' for us, for this to happen.

So, we laid our ghosts to rest last month, now it is Uncle Avram's turn isn't it?

Make no bones about it he inherited a fantastic Chelski squad and had he not achieved something then there would have been something seriously wrong - although to have finished, what was it league, league cup and champions league runners-up and still get the boot would leave anyone feeling hard done by!

If karma played a part in our semi final win, will it do the same for Uncle Avram on Saturday?

After all that we have been through this past year, in particular, I have constantly had this 'it is meant to be' feeling as far as the cup has gone - I still maintain this but I also think that this weekend is his day - well all of ours, but like we had ours last month it is meant to be for him to lay his own Chelski ghosts to rest...

Thought Bassong played for the Spuds and they have a dislike of Chelski hence last comment rather odd!!

Win or loose to me doesnt matter, I just hope we dont get spanked by the Chelski machine that seems to be in full flight at the moment! However I will be putting a cheeky $20 on us to win, PUP, Pompey till i die!!!

Well, if the final is about AG then at least he'll up his 'price' if we win. Tactics come into it, but I think it'll show more the character and passion of the players if we play well. Whatever a manager says it always comes down to the performance of the players on the pitch.
