Terry to miss cup final and the world cup?

John Terry is in danger of not only missing the FA cup final this weekend but also the world cup if 'reports' that are breaking are accurate...
The Chelsea man picked up a foot injury in training today, which some are saying is a suspected broken metatarsal - the foot injury that has been the curse of so many England internationals in recent years!
Chelsea are playing down the severity of this injury though with a club statement saying: 'John Terry has today taken a knock in training and has gone to hospital for a precautionary scan on his right foot.
'He left Cobham walking freely in a protective boot, and we await the results which are expected on Thursday.'
Results of a scan are 'expected' to be known tomorrow, although 'if' the 29-year-old has broken a bone in his foot then he WILL miss the world cup as it will take at least 6-weeks for this to heal...
For all his faults and problems this season, and lets face it Terry has had a lot, and for all his inconsistencies in his form in recent months - following all these allegations - I know that I would much rather go to South Africa with the guy in the squad as opposed to him missing out!
As a Pompey fan, assuming he will miss the cup final regardless, many could view this as a 'bonus', although in many ways I am not sure it would be, it certainly would not be a good thing for England this summer.
So, fingers crossed on this one...

Whilst this may marginally improve Pompey's slim chance of FA Cup glory, I hope for Terry and for England that it's not a long-term problem. It would be nice if he wasn't playing against us on Saturday, but it's not as though Chelsea have a lack of world-class options at the back :)

Apparently nothing to do with training, he did it jumping over the garden fence of Christine Bleakley's house whilst Frank was out collecting the milk.

SSN reporting its not a broken foot and he's hoping to play on Saturday. So we'll have to think of something else now!

I thought this one had gone away earlier today, I thought it was a very small metatarsil stress fracture?

Tbh terry has had a pretty poor season so I don't think it will be a big loss for Chelski. Ideally he has a minor injury that keeps him out of the cup butnot the England squad.
