Season Ticket Statement
On the back of the recent warmly-received season ticket price announcement, Portsmouth Football Club would like to clarify the arrangements for how the revenue from these sales will be handled while the club plan to exit administration.
While the club remains very positive about its future, we acknowledge that fans may want clarity and reassurance prior to committing to such a purchase.
We are therefore happy to confirm the following:
Any supporters wishing to purchase or renew a season ticket by debit or credit card are assured that payments made by this method will be administered by Barclaycard Payment Acceptance, thereby ensuring that these payments are ring-fenced and the funds will be released to the club throughout the season as the club fulfils its fixture commitments.
This applies if you pay online via the e-ticketing portal or pay in person at the ticket office. Additionally, any supporter wishing to take advantage of the three-month interest free or six-month interest bearing payment plans via Zebra Finance are assured that these purchases will be dealt with in a similar manner.
In this case these funds will be placed in a separate protected escrow club bank account as will cash payments for season tickets via the ticket office.
These arrangements covering all offered forms of payment will remain in place for the whole of the season, even if a CVA has been agreed.
In the extremely unlikely event of the club being unable to complete its fixture obligations for next season, with season ticket revenues held in specifically protected bank accounts fans would receive proportional refunds equating to those matches that were unable to be played.
