Boateng given Ghanaian call-up

Kevin-Prince Boateng's chances of playing in the world cup have moved a step closer after he was named in Ghana's 30-man provisional world cup squad - although he does still need his final Fifa approval to switch allegiances from Germany.

As fate would have it Ghana are in the same group as Germany!

Former Pompey players Sulley Muntari and Quincy are also in the initial 30, along with former transfer targets John Mensah and Stephan Appiah.

'If' Boateng is Fifa approved and 'if' he is selected for the final 23 a final 'if', there are plenty of these ifs, he is not sold before the world cup - he WILL be sold over the summer that much we know - should he get his chance and he impresses then this could well be to our benefit as much as his! As it could see more interest in him and we could be faced with a 'potential' bidding war if we allowed it...

Let us just hope he remains at Portsmouth. But it all depends on Avram's future! I would love to see them both here next season.
