'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Will you renew/Keep the squad together

Here are some details on a couple of recent polls that need rounding up...

'I will renew my season ticket because I am Pompey til I die', were the findings from tracyc's poll about season tickets, and renewals.

This REALLY is tough call, so is there really a right or wrong answer?

I want to do this, and in all likelihood I 'probably' will whatever happens - yep, I am a mug for this I am sure, but as much as I worry where this money could go, saying it goes into a 'special account' does little to settle this anxiety to be honest! Nor do I actually know if we would get through the whole season, but I just cannot see myself not renewing, it would hurt too much to give up my season ticket, having been forced to do this once before.

Yep, I know getting a ticket 'on the day' will be more than possible, and easy, so that is an option over renewing, although I like being able to pick where I sit and like being with the people I am, on the whole, assuming they renew too?

Basically this is an 'each to their own' way of thinking and, for me, people should not be judged on what they do, or do not, decide to do - this is a personal preference and whatever is decided is down to each individual, no matter what anyone else might say...

  • What the poll asked - Season ticket holders - will you be renewing?

  • How you voted - Yes, Pompey till I die 61%
No, because of shameful way club has been run 13%
    No, because I can't afford it/other commitments 12%
Buying one for the first time 7%
Only if Chainrai isn't in charge 3%
No, because Pompey have gone down 3%
Yes, prices are really good, and more matches 1%

    ==========

'The squad needs to stay intact until after the cup final', were the findings from PFC-Jono's poll when asking for thoughts on the continued possibility that players could go before the FA cup final.

Of course players WILL be sold or released, and probably plenty of them, at the end of the season - although at the end of the season is where these decisions belong, and should be made.

'Rumours' continue to rumble on that players 'might' go before the cup final, and whilst some would be missed less than others, for the continued unity and spirit of the club and squad - which WILL help us in the cup final - it is important that things remain unchanged until after next weekend.

Although, and as we know with Pompey you can never say never, it does 'seem' as though this is going to be the case, fingers crossed...

  • What the poll asked - Should Pompey cash in on any players before the FA cup?

I didn't vote on the squad question as these days players can stipulate the terms of any agreement and no way would they agree to sit out games or a cup final.

apparently some chap has inside info into our new manager's-Joe Jordan- squad, all for the measly sum of £15m from our new Arabian owners http://www.football-rumours.co.uk/.
