Toddy Up For A Fight

Toddy Up For A Fight

Todorov’s place could be under threat as Pompey’s striker search picks up.

But Todorov said he still had the belief he could be the man to deliver for his team next season.

He said: 'I hear we are looking for new forwards. That's okay. It doesn't bother me that we're looking for new strikers.

'We need strong players here and need to make signings.

'That is down to the manager. It not my decision – it's down to him and who he prefers next season.

'I will just go back to training in July, stay fit and see what happens.

'I need to come back after the summer and do the right stuff.'

Good to hear he agrees with signings, we want all players to be competitive and fight for their positions. Earning a Pompey shirt is not a right and I think he knows that. If it brings the best out of him then that can only help us in our quest.

With what he's been through and the way he's fought back, i'll put my money on TODDY every time. Love the bloke and he'll score goals in the prem. (Provided he gets a strike partner that will pass to him) !!!!

Topping last seasons tally the aim

78pts was only enough for a play-off place last season so you suspect we'll have to better that for a top 3 finish this coming season, which begins with Carlisle at Fratton.

On this day in history...26th June

Done Deal - Smith in permanently from Swindon

The interest Pompey retained in Smith, with him 'in our sights' has resulted in him returning to the Blues on a permanent basis after signing for an 'undisclosed fee' from Swindon.

Cushioning the blow

Much, that needed saying, about Webster's exit for Ipswich and the arrival of Clarke in return (and cash) has been said hasn't it? Doyle's been spot on with what he said.
