Offer to be made by Thursday...

Offer to be made by Thursday...

Yes I know we have heard it all before, and talk is most definitely cheap at this stage, but Rob Lloyd has told The observer that a 'formal offer' will 'definitely' be made, with Wednesday being 'the big day' for him, his mystery backer and the club: 'we'll work all weekend and the bank holiday on our offer. Wednesday is a big day for us, as it's the last one before the creditors meeting.

'We're working on the precise nature of our bid but we will definitely be making a formal offer. Then it is up to the administrator.'

The creditors meeting will be held on Thursday, so this offer will come in before this to be presented to these creditors, with Admin Andy saying: 'any offer from an interested party would have to add value for the creditors and be good for the club.'

As said 'talk is cheap' and we have 'heard it all before' but lets just hope that this week CAN bring some positive news, with the creditors also bringing positive news that can help us gain that CVA that we need to avoid further points penalties next season...

I know we have to report on Vital everything that is happening with the off-the-pitch stuff but I have to admit I am not going to read much of it until it's done and dusted. You remember that Simon and Garfunkel line ... "I get the news I need from the weather report" ...well I sort of feel like the only Pompey news I want is the stuff from ON the pitch. It's all I can really understand, to be honest. And it's been pretty good recently, tbh.

Why would they put in a bid before the creditors meeting anyway?

As the creditors would believe they have a better chance of getting some more money I would think,75% agree to take whatever is being put forward and we get the CVA and no points deducted next season

As I said on the toast an imminent bid is good for the CVA, even if the 1st offer is rejected the creditors know a deal is on the offing and are more likely to be positive about approving the process and that is what Thursday is about-make no mistake

Moley any CVA must have the support of and be under written by any new owner as they will ultimately be paying the money.

£118,000,000 divided by 15 pence in the pound equates to about £8m..some of those debts have to be paid in full such as the Sols £2m and the agents fees etc wtc, so on and so on...i guess ot could be bought for £35m...I'rll have a word with the wife....

The trouble is we've been through too many owners who have made too many promises and dates of when things have been done, so its hard to believe that things are 'going to happen' now. We'll see. Anyway don't think there's much else news-wise going on this Thursday is there, or have I forgotten something?

£118m is astonishing. Is the club still paying off the fee for Micky Quinn?

People of Portsmouth, those who are willing to die for their team, fear not, I went to a tarot reader today, (cost a dollar, about 40p, so a real good one) She told me that we were going to have a new owner (not sure when) and that riches would be thrown upon us (hundreds of millions...of monopoly cash) and that our stay in the no power league would be fleeting (she didnt say which way we would go tho)....oh and she mentioned that Freddy P is gonna come play for us next year for 10p a week (bargain), So chin up all, it seems things are going to be alright after all....................................FFS can someone just buy the club...please!!!!!

Christian Burgess, like the rest of us, is enjoying Pompey's promotion to league one BUT he's not content to settle at that level - he's already eyeing the Championship.

Ex-Chelsea & Walsall winger Lalkovic is back at Pompey, ahead of the proposed end to his Ross loan. Talbot looks as if his Blues days are numbered, a Chesterfield return is mooted?
