Pompey will be paying homage to their early years by incorporating the club`s original colours of burgundy and salmon pink in their new white Kappa away kit for the FA Cup final against Chelsea at Wembley on Saturday, May 15.

And fans can wear the same shirt as their heroes with 1,300 limited edition tops - featuring FA Cup final embroidery - going on sale.

There are also 800 of the blue semi-final shirts - also embroidered - available to buy.

You can pre-order your top in the Pompey megastore from Saturday, May 1 . The store will be open from 9am-5.30pm and will also open on Sunday between 10am-4pm. You can also pre-order your shirt by calling 023 9277 8554.

Alternatively, you can collect your shirt from the megastore from Tuesday, May 11. The store will remain open until 7pm on Wednesday, May 12 and Thursday, May 13 for collections. The store will also open from 8am-9.30am on the day of the final.

Supporters can also purchase E.ON or Premier League badges for their shirts but lettering and numbers are only available for in-store purchasers.

Shirts cost 40. Numbers, E.ON badges and Premier League badges cost 3 each, while letters are 1 each.

Please note that Kappa's shirt sizes are different to Canterbury's. Supporters will generally need to order one or two sizes bigger.

Sizes range from medium-xxxxl for men, small-xl for women and 3yrs-14yrs for children.

There is a limited range of 10-14yrs/small adult Kappa training wear also in store now, including tracksuits, training tops, bench jackets and rain tops.

Should be an eventful day if not just for the fashion side of things, what with James picking the suits out lol. Hope you lot go and put one over Chelsea, you deserve that much atleast. Play like you did against us and imo you have every chance of winning it. Good luck. :)

Not bad, better than I though it was going to be. Had a vision of being all salmon pink with the burgendy trim. Be interesting the colour of their suits as Jamo is picking them!!

I'm just wondering, why are they selling premier league badges for the shirt? By the time the shirt goes on sale we will only have one game in the Premier League left.

XXXXXL that's a comedy size right? I was warned that Kappa shirts were tight, I thought the canterbury ones were a little on the snug side. I see a diet in my future this summer...

Yep I approve Dave .. As you can see the 'salmon' trimmings are in keeping with our original colours .. Unlike those bloody 'pink' scarves which I despise so much ... see now you've got me ranting (lol)

Re the sizes .. I just hope they have a couple of 'test' shirts that people can try on otherwise there's a danger that a lot of peopl could be walking around with a shirt that is either too big or too small for them ... bit like I mormally do anyway I suppose.

Do you have to pre order, or can you go to the store on spec?

I think it is very nice! I will be one of the pre-order people i reckon. That's if I can get through on the phoneline tomorrow and if i can work out what size to get?
I def get enough use out of each shirt that I buy. I just hope that they dont change it too much for next season!

I've just answered my own question (Well, Gill has). You MUST pre order and then collect or arrange delivery. She was told, "if you're normally a medium, order a large"

I think I like it, mulling over whether to splash out 40 odd to get one though. My first impression was that it looked quite feminine though - but all you chaps seem to like it, I'm wondering what Bouba Diop's going to look like in it though.

Awfull..Who designs these things...WHy not simply have a white shirt with some red and blue bits..Im sick of Yellow, and red and black and gold and Black and dark blue and all the other awful colours we have played in...especially the recent verticle blue stripes that we have been relegated in almost every time we have worn it...im just grumpy because i accidently have deleted my i tunes account with over 700 albums and 20 odd films...at least my duaghter has figured a way of getting these offf the ipod and back on to the itunes account...argghhh...The kit looks OK but I only Like BLUE WHITE and RED for Pompey
