Scummers want Mullins?

The 'rumours' of player exits are now starting to roll in thick and fast, given the fax sent around to all clubs making it clear - if it was not already - that 'everyone has a price' is this a surprise that, and even if some are just 'media driven', this is happening? Then again this said sent fax has been denied of course...

Some of these will be totally wide of the mark, although I suspect most will have at least some element of truth to them!

Today's Mail sees Hayden Mullins being 'linked' with a £1m move to Scum - 'perhaps' and easy link to make given the fact that Alan Pardew made Mullins his first signing, for £800,000, when he was West Ham manager, so clearly there is a history with the player.

As much as I never thought I would hear myself say this I would be sorry to see the guy leave and hope this is not the case, although if £1m is offered I cannot see this being turned down - granted it is not really going to do a lot to contribute towards what we have to pay-off but it would also get his wages of the wage bill, something I suspect - with most players - is wanted more.

Time will tell on this one, like I say, I would not mind keeping him but doubt this will happen if a 'genuine offer' does come in - if it was Papa Bouba Diop on the other hand I would drive him, even though I cannot drive, to his next destination...

Speaking of the man The News 'claims' we have offered him to Paris St Germain, although they have not yet responded.

In all honesty I have never really been his biggest fan but think the guy is done, and has been since his serious knee injury 18-months ago or so, so WHY we offered him a new contract last summer is beyond me! Then again most of the goings on in recent times have been beyond most of us, right?

PSG don't want to buy PBD, they are just curious as to why balls keep landing on there stadium from on high; they are keen for their goalies to try out Papa's shooting boots. I think Mullins could do a job in the championship.

Yeah have to agree on a change in opinion on 'Muggins'. I wasn't that long ago that when his name was called out on the team sheet, that I felt we were doomed. However and fair play to the bloke he has been taken from his preferred position and played right back, left back and would even have a go in goal if asked i'm sure. He is a credit to what Pompey is all about and just gets on with whatever he is asked to do, and pretty well in my view. Dipo on the other hand can happily leave as I can't see that he offers much at all, other than getting in the way.

Diop needs to go back to MFI. Mullins we just might need him next season. Otherwise we will do well to field a team of 11.

He's been quiet good recently tbh.

Mullins doesn't deserve to be in League One. The man is not the most skilful player I've ever seen but he's a trier and obviously respected by managers and team mates for his professionalism. And he's done a difficult job to the best of his ability recently. Keep Mullins!

I must admit though that I did LOL when I read the scummers wanted to 'take advantage of us' by offering £1m for Mullins - which is what we paid for him - and he's hardly set the league on fire. But it is true, he has been a lot better recently, and I don't see him in league one.

mullins and brown in the middle in a 4,4,2 would be good in the championship... keep em both unless we get a offer of 1.5m for either then sell them.. diop would be good in the championship he mite even score a few goals but his wages must be big so sell him for 1m

When I saw that I was horrified. At best I would offer £500,000 for him and would try to get him for less. He is a plain and simple warrior and for that you don't pay a lot. But as it has come from the 'Mail' I don't tend to believe it.
