Looking dapper/Paying for others' wrongdoings

A couple of recent polls needs summing up, so here goes...

'I liked that one' were the thoughts from tracyc's poll about our 'one off' cup semi final Kappa kit - which does not really show up on the image above, but does before you click on this article.

Yep, I agreed with this as I liked the kit - in fact I thought it looked quite the part. The one thing I might have changed, and I hope they do for next season, is the gold Kappa logos on the shoulders. These were perhaps a 'touch' overpowering.

All in all though, good stuff. Best of all it was proper royal blue, not this rubbishy blue we have played in all season!

I await what will almost certainly be another 'one off' for the cup final; this will be white though as we know we have to play in our away colours...

  • What the poll asked - Semi final special Kappa kit

  • How you voted - Yes I liked it 77%
    Wasn't bothered either way 18%
    Didn't like it 5%

'Punishing others for the poor mismanagement of others should not see us miss out on Europe' were the thoughts from nodster's poll about our 'likely' absence from Europe next season.

This has been done to death, just about, we all know my thoughts on Europe - and how I think we should have this, and want us to do this - but it seems pretty much nailed on now that this decision has been made and our place in Europe is going to the 7th placed team in the premier league...

The shortcomings, and often corrupt actions, of previous owners has ultimately cost us this. Is it fair that the players, and of course us - the fans, are punished for this?

I do not think it is as I feel we have, and will still, suffer enough. Should we be in a position to fulfil the European expectations I still believe that we should have been allowed to do this, I also believe it would benefit the club to have this chance, but hey ho!

  • What the poll asked - Do we deserve to be in Europe next season?

  • How you voted - Players should not be punished for bad management. 44%
We can't afford it anyway. 41%
It is fair that we miss out on the Europe 15%

Before we move on what are your thoughts on what the recent polls concluded? You know what to do, thoughts below please guys...

Has anyone seen the supposed white and 'burgandy' (red) kit we are having for the final. If it is true, I like it, but too many people are good at photoshop these days.

Not seen it but I drink Burgundy and White - a lot! I didn't, but thinking of all those who forked out for the away strip; what's wrong with that colour principal? Or here's a clue " Avram Grant's Blue n White army", Burgundy and White army doesn't have the same flow.

With regard to Europe, AA has suggested there may be more payments to other parties that become due if we play in Europe. It would also be extra fixtures in a season where we would have more league games than in the prem, potentially needing a bigger squad, which we really can't afford. This would also put pressure on the league season which we might yet start on -17. Whilst I loved the European Tour last time round, I don't think its very realistic for us this time. I just hope that in a few years we get the club back up-together enough to be able to challenge for a European place again.
