We 'just about' believe we're off to Europe again

'Pompey will be allowed to play in Europe again next season', not my vote, yours - although these findings from PFC-Jono's poll are thoughts that I want to agree with...

It was a close thing, and was this a case more of the 'heart ruling the head' for some perhaps?

Maybe so, but I know I would love to play in Europe again, be it for one tie only - I have made this pretty clear.

Technically, even though it 'might' have seemed we missed the cut-off point, although it does not appear that this is the uefa cut-off point and that is the all important date. Whatever way you look at it we do 'seem' to have a valid case of making it into the Europa league next season and have technically, by rights, qualified...

I know there are many arguments for or against this, and all are valid really, but for me so long, and only if the CVA is agreed and we have come out of administration then I feel we have every chance, and every right, to do this and despite the money it will cost I see this as being a positive thing for a brighter future.

My fingers will be kept crossed on this as, like I say, I would love to see Pompey abroad again, although there are some 'rumours' of a trip into Europe for pre-season, how true, I could not say...

  • What the poll asked - Do you think we will be accepted in into Europe?

  • How you voted - Yes 57%
    No 43%

Before we move on what are your thoughts on what the last poll concluded? You know what to do, thoughts below please guys...

I think this is a little optimistic to be honest.

The vote was a close run thing, and I think our chances of playing in Europe next year are about 50/50. At least they were until the latest revelations about the club's debts and how badly its been run - Scudamore is already having a go, and I think it makes it alot less likely we'll get Europe rubber stamped now.

    Movement of the people

There will be no exodus but as Bob Marley said there would be movement of the people, actually 'movement of Jah people', at Fratton in order for Jackett to bring players to Pompey.

    So long Smithy?

Having made it clear the arrival from Ipswich of (now captain) Pitman meant a forward could leave Fratton Park, Smith is seen as the odd one out in four for Pompey boss Jackett.
