Lenny Sowah has only featured in what, 3 1st team games, forgetting the fact that the youngster only has half a dozen reserve games under his belt too!
This has not preventing him from become a sought after, by all accounts, 'commodity' at club and international level...
Sowah has dual German-Ghanaian heritage and this has seen Ghana make their move for the 17-year-old by inviting him to turn out for the U20 side and possibly help them defend their world title at that level.
According to Admin Andy his promising full 1st team debut against Villa at the weekend has seen interest in the defender grow, although he, like anyone else WILL NOT be sold before the FA cup final in May...
After the cup final, perhaps, but the 'core half-a-dozen players attracting interest', with 'a few enquiries about Lenny Sowah' also made, will not be discussed until after the cup final.
Clearly anyone and everyone will be available, and no interest will be turned away.
This does NOT mean they will necessarily be sold though, but should any 'respectable offer' come in we will not really be in a position to turn this down will we.
Quite how much interest there really is in Sowah remains to be seen, 'perhaps' it is just 'touting' of the youngsters name as he is in the limelight at the moment?
Either way, as much as it might not be wanted, we DO have to prepare ourselves to be totally gutted this summer - then again I think most are, right?
So long as this is going to be for the right reasons, going to the right people and enabling us to have a long-term future, needs must - although we clearly MUST keep some players to have any chance of doing anything at all next season and keeping this long-term future ambition alive, then again so much rides on this upcoming CVA...
