DA *Breaking News* Benfica Rejected

Peter Storrie-

'I don't know why everyone is going on about D'Alessandro, he is just one player. Why focus on him when Harry [Redknapp] has several options in that position. Andres is just one of them,' he told The News.

'We are looking at a whole range of players in a variety of positions at this stage. It's my job to look at the various deals and work out the costings.”

'It's early in that process and doesn't happen overnight,'

In other news- just breaking to me via an email, Pompey have turned down an appeal from Benfica to speak to D’Alessandro, until the 30th of June! That to me suggests Pompey are willing to pay the 30k (plus appearance fees) to capture the player before any other club. If they didn’t want him they would have let them, wouldn’t they have?

Unless they think we can get better, sign him. Missed out on Carrick & Papa Diop with our faffing about. Rather not let lose him.

Ask your sauce (sic) what the real problem is les. If he really knows what is going on, he'll tell you that the hold up on d'ale are the fees that the agents want.

Hope that this doesn't upset DALLAS, like when Harry was told he couldn't talk to Pompey. Even so I am glad that Benfica have to wait.
