Mendes-Gary On Honeymoon


The player who started the revival, has told Pompey Pages that he is loving football again.

Mendes said: 'I am looking forward to playing once again.

'I have had a great time at Portsmouth since I came to the club.

'Now we are safe and things are looking very good for the new season.

'It was a brilliant run at the end of the season and I really enjoyed us winning the battle to stay in the Premiership.'

'I know leaving Spurs was the right thing to do. When I was there, I was not happy.

'But now I have found happiness again, I have found it at Portsmouth. I've won back the will to play football.'

In other news, Vital Pompey was all set to speak to Gary O'Neil about him winning Vital Pompey player of the year. I then recieved an email informing me he was on his honeymoon!

Most probably I would have thought, definitely relegated. Not only the turning point and the building of self belief, but equally as important 2 additional points so it wouldn't be going into the last game.
