What will Wembley mean to you?

What will Wembley mean to you?

I am going to quit my 'jibber jabber' and not go on about 'this and that,' this is a simple question being asked to Pompey fans - and Spurs I guess for that matter - asking for you to simple share your thoughts with us in response to this question:

What will Wembley mean to you?

Say as much, or as little, and be as emotional, or closed, as you feel you want to be with what you want to say - just say it!

You know what to do, leave your thoughts below...

An early train from fratton with a group of 20ish mates. A fair few beers. Then hopefully a close game. Sorry but I'm not very confident of a positive result however I do intend to have a great day out! PUP

since1898 are you taking a zimmer? I know that for me last month it was simply a brilliant day out. The result was second to the way the game was played. The crowd was good and we enjoyed the whole thing. Only downside was the prices of everything at Wembley. If you want anything have it before the game because no bottles are allowed in and prices are exhorbitant.

After the upset of '92 I never thought I'd ever get to see Pompey play in a cup final (boy were we close) but the experiences and memories of 2008 changed all that and will forever go with me to my grave. 2010 is a whole different ball game.. We are not playing a team from a lower division, we are not the favourites, we don't have a team of stars (they all went to Spurs), we can't even aspire to a European tour.. This time 'Potless Pompey' our ramshackled bottom of the table team of misfits, pensioners and other clubs players will take on a bitter rival on one of the worlds most modern and greatest stages. We do not expect pretty football, we do not expect a victory.. but as long as the Fratton Faithful are in full voice and as long as the Uncle Avrams chosen XI roll up their sleeves, play to the best of there ability and fight for the cause, I will feel proud .. proud of us fans, proud of Avram and the coaching staff, proud of the players but most of all proud to be Pompey. Let's roar the lads to victory

There's been no cake, but this must be the icing that should have been on it. A win, and the team and manager will be diamonds in a barren wasteland.

I can't go to the stadium as I have busted my foot ( of course the metatarsil what did you expect) and ligaments, but I will find a suitable hostelry in Pompey; shout, sing, AND GET SMASHED! I put my tenner on us to win a backs to the wall desperate defence, goal against run of play 1 goal nicked it!
