Zigic *All You Need To Know*

Zigic *All You Need To Know*

Everything You Didn’t Need to Know About Zigic

Portsmouth Chairmen has, in my opinion, foolishly told the press that he is interested in Zigic. Click here to read Milan's comments.

His full name- Nikola Zigic

Born- 25.9.1980 (25 years old)

Nationality- Serbia and Montenegro (10 international appearances, scoring two goals.)

Height- 6f 8

Weight- 15 stone

Club- Crvena Zvezda

Personal awards- he won Serbia and Montenegro player of year 2003 and 2005

History- Before this year he had made 160 appearances scoring 120 goals. He started his career at AIK Topla in 1998 scoring 68 goals in 86 appearances before being loaned to Mornar. He has played for six clubs and this year scored three goals in five uefa cup appearances.

Expected Cost- between 5 and 7 million

What another website thinks of him- The burly forward is in the form of his life for club and country and it is no surprise that Arsenal, West Ham and Liverpool are interested in signing him. His performance in the qualifier away to Spain really turned heads as he almost single-handedly kept the Spanish at bay. At 6'8, Zigic wins almost everything in the air but is very skilful with the ball at his feet too. He could breathe life into Group C, which has been labelled the ‘group of death’.

Arsene Wenger won’t sign him- “No,” replied the Arsenal manager when asked if he wanted Zigic. “I admit we have seen him, but we already have a young Zigic in our youth team. Bendtner.”

Vital Pompey’s Opinion- We should sign this player! He is tall and built which will provide the target man we require. He isn’t just a provider, he also has a very good scoring record. He is highley rated and has attracted clubs such as Arsenal, West Ham and Liverpool.
