none on this day for me, altho the legendary sir teddy of sheringham celebrates his birthday along with another 'legendary', or sorts - in my mind anyway - player tommy thorgersen! when the guy signed i was horrified that he was a 'so called' international and had played 'european cup' football as he was bloody awful! altho he grew on me and became a real favourite of mine - i remember him going on a run of scoring in something like 3 or 4 games running...i was sad to see him leave in the end, he left for walsall didnt he, like vlachos.

None of the above for me. Think you are right Rug, he did, I mentioned Thorgersen in one of these last week I thought he was all right. He took a few games to settle, got god then left. I thought Martin kuhl was reasonable; can't remember what happened to him.

is that why he came good russ, he 'got god' - maybe i need to find some faith :-)
altho i think saying he 'took a few games to settle' is an understatement, altho it depends on what you define a 'few games' as...like i say tho i liked tommy in the end and was sad to see him go! it is frightening to think how long ago this was, well not really that long but the time has flown by, and that IS frightening!

Just one for me Reading at home in 83 when Kevin Dillon ended our penalty problem.

Martin Kuhl went to Derby and then Bristol City.

Liverpool 1949, Pompey played as quoted the ultimate team of the Championship years. Yes I was there, just!!

3 for me, the home draws with Reading in '83 & Millwall in '94 & the away midweek draw with Ipswich in '91. All games where we drew & we scored a pen in each game.
