'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Dindane saga takes another twist?

It seems to be a case of yeah but, no but, yeah but, no but, yeah but Aruna Dindane can stay with Pompey this season...

The 'Aruna Dindane saga' has taken more 'twist and turns' than some acclaimed novels, and the 'latest' sees The Mirror reporting that a 'deal' has been struck to let him see the season out with us, without it costing us anymore money!

Although he will move to Blackburn in the summer and as such cannot feature against them for us at the weekend? Apparently...

With it also 'said' that a 'cut price' £2m fee has been agreed between Blackburn and Lens, with Blackburn allowing him to play for us for the remainder of the season - apart from the weekend - with them receiving 'compensation should he pick up an injury playing for Pompey.'

Lets make no bones about it, Dindane has been hit and miss for us this season but I sure as hell know I would prefer to have him as an option available to us for the semi final - we need ALL we can for this!

'Word on the street' has it that it is 60:40 in favour of him staying - and at no extra costs - until the summer, if this includes the Blackburn deal 'rumoured' as well I could not say?

All seems a bit strange, but it is being picked up by all the usual non-official sources. Let's see where this one goes then.

I was going to say I hoped that the deal would be done after the weekend so that he could play, but that's been answered it seems. I'm losing track of who's injured and who's not - is he? I guess not if we're talking about him playing on Saturday. Players are going to be sold, at least if we can keep them on loan for now its a bonus - especially as we haven't got 2 players to rub together!

not that keen on ding dong i have to admit but would prefer him to stay, and play in the semi - and then final! - than be left kicking his heels when he wants to be involved...
