Striker Coming Pompey? Milan Quote

'I hope to bring Zigic to Portsmouth but it is Harry (Redknapp) who will make the final decision. Harry is aware of Zigic's quality but there are currently two strikers higher on his wish list,' Mandaric was reported as saying on the Svet Sporta website.

Full report tomorrow afternoon, including some disappointing gossip!

a player "he wants." He is the chairmen not the manager. Harry said someone signed in January who he didn't chose

What the f**k does MM mean? I wish he'd keep his mouth shut and just do the business. The manager identifies the player, the chairman decides on the outlay and Peter storrie dows the business (or not). Why do we get stupid wánky comments like this?

don't know mate. That's why i said i was worried! Now other clubs will have a look and they won't be so tight with their contract fee and yet again we will lose another player

yer ok i was aware of west hams interest. I was just saying what could happen. If West Ham where interested and where going to make an offer at the end of the summer, comments such as these would speed up such an offer!

It would be a coup if we signed him as he is very very good. I would suspect anyone wanting him is going to have him signed and sealed before the world cup starts as his value will sky rocket.

I say bugger them all and sign Drunken Duncan Ferguson who Everton have released. I love the big man's work and he asks only for 10 quid and a six-pack per week!

The player Harry didn't want was Noe from Spurs, I understand that there will be a "picking list" of who Harry/the club wants but for me the worry is your chairman is hoping to bring in the third pick, almost saying "Hey Harry, I hear your one and two but sorry buddy above what we have or want to spend and if you don't like my idea, deal with the players we have."
