Pompey competition update #29

Fantasy Football - 'Vital Pompey League'

There was a change in the fantasy.premierleague.com 'Vital Pompey League' after the latest games as portsm@ retained top spot on 1698pts in total.

That said I do not think the table has been update since last time, due to midweek games. So I suspect this will take place after tonight?

This is how top 3, of 82, currently stands:

TeamPts
1portsm@1698
2The Pompey Chimes1697
3Pompey Stayin Up1672

PLEASE NOTE: Unfortunately as the game was set up as a 'head-to-head' Fantasy Football game those not registered before the season kicked off cannot join... I have been told, having contacted the people that run the game, you cannot change this from 'head-to-head' to a 'classic version' once you have started!

This will explain why people have not been able to join since the season started - the only way I could amend things would be to create a new league and start fresh from October, but I would suspect people would not want this?

You cannot carry previous point over into a new league...

'Pompey Predictions League'

There was no change in the Pompey predictions league again after the Hull game, so uspompeyfan retained top spot for a 16th game on 74pts in total.

This is how top 3, of over 50 at present, currently stands:

PLEASE NOTE: There are cash prizes for the top 3 in this game. Plus a £5 cash prize for each month's top points scorer - you have to be 'in it to win it' though!

Anyone can enter at anytime so just because you missed out on predicting for the last game with Hull - or any others - it is not too late, simply joining for the next against Chelski tonight.

I have made it even easier for you to get involved by putting the forum link for this next game below...

    Pompey 1-0 Bury - report & highlights

Well, that was a case of 'job done' on Saturday really, right? Far from our best, in a game that wasn't great, but Pompey did enough to edge out struggling Bury 1-0 at Fratton Park.

    You always need scrappy wins

I am keen to be entertained when I go to football, which hopefully results in a Pompey win. However, at times you accept the points are the main thing - like Bury on Saturday.
