'If It's Football, It's Vital'

End of the line?

Jamie O'Hara's well publicised thoughts that he would 'like Fulham to beat Spurs' in the FA cup have finally been commented on by Harry Redknapp - and these words, for me, spell the end of his days at Spurs...

To be honest we DO know first hand what Redknapp is like, so despite his words to the contrary I think that O'Hara's Spurs days were numbered anyway - although if they were not before, they are now!

Redknapp has 'slammed him' for his comments, and in some ways I can understand why as I am not so sure I would be best pleased if a Pompey player was saying he 'wanted us to lose' so he could play at Wembley - then again this is O'Hara summed up really, ALL he wants to do is play football, and would love to play at Wembley. That is not to say that he does not care about Spurs, as he clearly does, this too has been made clear.

As said we know from past experience that you do not 'cross' Redknapp and get away with it! Then again O'Hara wants to play 1st team football and, lets face it, he probably knows he will not do this with Spurs anyway...

Like I say though I feel this will only aid his departure from Spurs, something that I feel would have happened anyway, as he reminds me very much of players such as Gary O'Neil and Matty Taylor, they were never really 'his boys' were they, and O'Hara is not going to be one of his boys either.

Now, if only we could convince him to spend another season on loan with us in the championship...

Hard for the lad really as hes isnt good enough to play week in week out with us!!! but his comments were stupid and tbh i couldnt care less wether he stays or goes if he does stay hes a bit part player so the best for both parties is that he goes some prmiership club i would think would take him 4-5 million is resonable. everyones happy goodbye JOH.
only 1 spurs
Oh give over Harry - if I was playing for say, Bolton or some other team like them on loan from Pompey and seeing Pompey lose means I would get to play at Wembley (something that would never happen ordinarily) then I'm sorry but I'd want to do it at Pompey's expense!! Would I come out on Tw*tter and say that? Probably not, but still I don't blame JOH at all.

I wish Harry would just keep his nose out. I bet he would of said more the less the same if he was in the postion Jamie was in.
Pompeyfcmad
to be fair to redknapp here o'hara is a spurs player so its not like he is sticking his nose in really is it? i can see both sides of the coin here but do think jamie 'should' have been alittle more careful with what he said - he has only given redknapp alittle more amunition to use against him and help speed up his departure i expect...
pompeyrug
Ah yh true rug. To be honest I don't think Jamie likes Redknapp.
Pompeyfcmad
Can't knock either RedCrap or Jamie for their thoughts - understandable from both.....Remember everybody, this is just the same as Nugent with us, and the majority (including me) have slagged him off !!! PUP (and come on Fulham) :-)
BarneyArmy
Stuff Redknapp and Spurs and I hope Fulham stuffs them too!

I think Sandra's husband has set his stall out with regards to Jamie anyway - signing Sandro today (subject to medical) should give Jamie an indication of how far down the pecking order he is...........

Great player, great attitude on the pitch. He should be playing weeking in week out in the Prem. Good point in that he reminds me of Chicken and Super Matt
Pompeyscum
I saw it and it was hardly a " slammed" or as the daily mail put it a " Blasted" , not really, it was full of " I understands" and "he feels like that having missed out on the last wembly opportunity". OHara made the statement last week so I think this is a story of nothing.
russellm
Sory but I can read in JOH comment is his wish to play at Wembley. Spurs win he can't.

I love Jamie for wanting to play at Wembley for Pompey, but it was probably a bit silly to say so publicly. I hope he gets his wish.

Its a nothing story, just like 90% of the other "slams!" stories. He says Jamie should be careful what he says because the supporters at spurs love him and he wont want to lose that, but says he understands that he's basically just saying he wants to play at wembley! Its pretty clearly a direct response to a question too, pompeyfcmad, and Harry basically says he understands why he said it... Just out of interest, is Harry hated because he left or because you blame him for your finances?
Joshtottenham
Reporting of this seems sensationalist and when you read Harry's words they don't sound like he's slamming anyone. I'd expect J O'H to say this and I'd expect Harry and Spurs to be fed up with it. Not really a story is it.

ah, the guy is an honest footballer who plays for the team he is representing. currently thats portsmouth - I, and most spurs fans I know, think what he said is completely harmless - and it seems redknapp on the whole does too. and how we'd like him back at this stage of the season with most of our harder working midfielders out.
