DA On His Way? He Wants To Stay!

Transfer Gossip

Benfica are set to agree a deal worth four million pounds for D’Alessandro however, the player is reportable holding out on a deal to come to Portsmouth.

The player is thought to be demanding 30k a week with Pompey offering a mere 25k. The transfer demands of the player would not be a problem for Benfica as they are all set to sell one of their current midfielders to Juventus.

Although Benfica can offer the player European football, D’Alessandro would prefer to be a Pompey player next year. (One on 30k)

Benfica are apparently aloud to talk to the player if Portsmouth don’t agree to D’Alessandro’s contract demands.

The process is as follows;

Portsmouth agree the percentage of wages they will pay on behalf of Wolfsburg for the duration of the loan.

Portsmouth then agree the price with the club that they will pay for the player at the end of loan spell, if they want him. (This was four million pounds.)

Portsmouth then agree a date a deal must be completed by, before other clubs can talk to the player. The only way this rule can be broken is if Portsmouth agree to let Benfica speak to the player.

It was reported in the Pompey news that Middlesbrough are interested however without a manager this seems unlikely!

In my opinion and from what I’ve heard, Portsmouth won’t increase their 25k offer and hope that D’Alessandro listens to his heart. They are apparently willing to let him speak to other clubs.

I find it strange that a team without a manager is offering such big money for a player, when they don't know if the new manager will like him or not.

Especially when you add that middlesbrough won't make a move cos they don't have a manager either.

FFS !! mate, what sort of answer is that. If you wanna be a journo, you shouldn't quote stuff unless you know you are sure. You tell me Benfica have a manager, then you say your mate says they have. Maybe someone should tell the Portuguese press that your mate knows more than them,lol. C'mon les, try and be a bit proffesional mate.

Les, oh Les. Please do not keep jumping in with both feet. Please read all my posts on this thread again, and tell me where i said you had? In my first post, i make a statement to the effect that "I find it strange that a team without a manager is offering such big money for a player, when they don't know if the new manager will like him or not. " You then replied that they do have a manager. I then asked you who it was (as i was certain that they didn't have one). Ad infinitum....

You said- "FFS !! mate, what sort of answer is that. If you wanna be a journo, you shouldn't quote stuff unless you know you are sure." and being a jorno i didn't quote anything in my article. I commented on something outside the article, which isn't journalism!
