Cup semi final date confirmed

The all-important date for our FA cup semi final, be this against Spurs or Fulham, has been confirmed.

Chelski and Villa will kick-off of cup semi final weekend by playing their semi on Saturday 10th April with a 5pm kick-off.

Our semi - on what will be a scuffed up Wembley surface by that point - will take place the day after on Sunday 11th with a 4pm kick-off...

This is not so good as I am not so sure the Sunday train services are going to be that helpful, but hey ho what can you do eh!

I was hoping for Saturday lunchtime as that is our lucky time but Sunday at 4pm it is.

Bit of a bummer as I guess we were all hoping for the Saturday game, but still it's a semi at Wembley so what's the point in moaning!

Yeh would of prefered at Saturday lunch time, but we're still at Wembley! So doesn't matter.

I'll need to see if I can change my flight, I'm supposed to be flying out from Heathrow at 4.30; I hadn't considered it would be so late on the Sunday, flipping annoying

Well at least we know when it is now - it might put paid to getting the train though. Still I know a carpark near a train station that's free on Sundays! Hopefully it'll just be a few days now till the ticket details come out.

Not so much of an early start but a sort of late ish finish. We shouldn't moan in case it's a few decades until we return again!!!

I too was hoping for Saturday lunch time but as that day the kick off is at 5pm I'm glad we're on the Sunday as I have tickets for the Portchester beer festival. Anyhoo train tickets already booked, returns for 3 people and travel cards less than 60, bargain!

Actually I checked the train times and they're not too bad considering it's a Sunday evening. I must have a look at that pre-booking deal you got Lemmi, I got quoted just under 30 each for tickets+travel cards - what was it 'the trainline.com?'

I went through National Rail Enquiries, which took me to South West Trains. It was 50.70 for three people without travel cards and 58ish with. The train times are pretty good, we're aiming to make a day of it and leave about 9am.
