Grant stay? Pompey survives? Season takeoff?

Grant stay? Pompey survives? Season takeoff?

There are a few polls that we need to catch up on! What where they, what did they find and what do we think? Lets find out as we wrap them up...

Most recently Wrinkley's poll had us thinking 'other factors would decide if Avram Grant stayed or not even if we are relegated.'

  • What the poll asked - Will Avram Grant stay with us if we are relegated?

  • How you voted - Perhaps, other factors could decide this 47%
    No 36%
    Yes 17%

To be honest I would go along with this really.

Despite the fact that Grant is not really being paid, when he is paid he is paid 'pretty well' so that could be an issue in itself - would he take a pay cut? Will he be given funds to rebuild a side next season? Will he want to stay with a championship side?

Just some of the questions that will come along...

My thinking is that if Grant is given the chance to stay, and can work without being completely hamstrung then I reckon he may well do that - there would seem to be a hell of a long way to go before we even get to that bridge though, let alone cross it!

The poll before this saw pompeyjoe's poll see us pretty unanimous that 'there WILL be a Portsmouth Football Club next season!'

  • What the poll asked - Will Portsmouth football club still exist come the start of next season?

  • How you voted - Yes 70%
    No 30%

I think it IS important than this poll finished before we even had a sniff that we would be going back to court again...

Even so Portsmouth Football Club is some way, shape or form will never die so why should we not have voted yes eh!

And finally the poll furthest back saw another of Wrinkley's polls with many of the opinion that 'beating Scum would NOT be the magic moment that would then see us go on and survive in the premier league'...

  • What the poll asked - Will this (beating Scum) be the Magic Moment that will see us survive in the PL?

  • How you voted - No 80%
    Yes 20%

Again it is important to point out that this poll WAS before we even knew we would go into administration - hence the points we will lose?

Although I think all in all we were looking at this objectively enough to realise that we had beaten a 3rd division side so we could not get 'carried away' as in all honesty we had not been good enough this season, quality wise, so whilst we got a morale boosting lift from this ultimately this was not really going to be a catalyst for a 'great escape' was it...

Before we move on what are your thoughts on what these polls concluded? You know what to do, thoughts below please guys...

No, beating us won't be the magic moment of your season. Or at least it shouldn't be. Getting someone in to rescue you should be that. by all means enjoy the victory but first you have to survive. How else will we get the chance of revenge.

I hope we survive also !!! Hey scummers, I'm decorating at the minute, can you get me some paint at Wembley (anything except red), and that tin pot trophy would do as a mixing pot. Cheers :-)
