Just Liverpool in 1988. We had a long unbeaten run broke by the Reds before the only full house of the season. Relegation soon followed.

It was a 10 game run if I remember rightly, although they were on an even longer run. I seem to remember Micky Quinn having a memorable game (but can't remember why!) and didn't John Barnes score a late second goal? PUP

Yes, I was there & no doubt more were crammed in beyond what was safe. Liverpool were the 'team' of the 80s & it was a great occasion. The other match for me in complete contrast was the thrashing of Port Vale.

Duo sign professional Pompey deals

Will Jez Bedford and Theo Widdrington be the future Pompey midfield? We'll certainly hope so, clearly the Blues do too or they wouldn't have signed professional deals at Fratton Park.

Nathan Thompson - A Swindon perspective

Prior to his departure for Wigan, Paul Cook wanted Nathan Thompson at Pompey. Interest was retained by Kenny Jackett, who completed his free transfer signing from Swindon last week.
