Pompey v Villa - changed for the box

Yep, I know the thoughts 'we might not even have a club' will come into many peoples heads, even so The Pompey Site has confirmed that our home game against Villa has been moved from its Saturday slot to a Sunday one for live coverage on sky sports.

More info on this can be found below...

Well let's hope we do get this game on. It could also be our last game on sky, which when consider our first was against them. Ahhh that barmy August back 2003, with Teddy & Patrick Berger.

More money for your 'coffers' as well being on tele. Good luck with getting the financial mess sorted, and for beating Birmingham in the FA Cup! Like all football fans we wish you well. It's not the supporters fault you are in the state you are. Obviously an incompetent Board hoodwinked by barrowboy Harry.

I hate midweek TV games, Sunday at 16:00 isn't much better either. Even worse for away supporters, at least I only have to travel from Kent.

Nathan Thompson - A Swindon perspective

Prior to his departure for Wigan, Paul Cook wanted Nathan Thompson at Pompey. Interest was retained by Kenny Jackett, who completed his free transfer signing from Swindon last week.

Main man for Pompey? I wouldn't think so

Harsh? Maybe, but do I really feel ex-Middlesbrough, Doncaster and Oldham forward Main will be in Pompey's 1st team, becoming a key member of Jackett's starting XI? Well, no.

Interest in Plymouth midfielder? Unfortunately not

Apparently, having stolen the League Two title from Plymouth, we'll not be taking the Pilgrims' best player, ex-Celtic midfielder Carey, currently out-of-contract at Home Park.
