'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Lets go out with a bang!

There has been more 'doom and gloom' today, in all honesty I am very close to being resigned to the fact that it is 'all over' - that in itself is more doom and gloom I know, and a very pessimistic, defeatist etc. attitude...

For that I can only apologise.

In what is 'possibly' our last game as a club at Fratton Park lets raise the roof, lets show the world just how much we care and love this club. And we do love this club, I know that speaking for myself I love it with all my heart as this is my life, and nothing - family and friends aside - means as much to me as Portsmouth Football Club, the thought of a life without it is soul destroying.

As said previously, even though in all honesty the chances of a 'fairytale ending' now are fading, you never know our support could tug on someone's heartstrings - not that life really works like that to be honest...

Lets not, if we do look back, look back with any regrets lets give it everything today, today is about the football, showing the players and coaching staff how much we appreciate their efforts and how much we care about Portsmouth Football Club.

If we are going out lets go out with a bang!

I couldn't agree more, lets show the vultures of the press the club is us, not the shysters.
I hope people turn up with flags and things.
Fine rallying call Rug!! Last game does not bear thinking about after I have been to over 1,000.
Blimey Rug, i was almost in tears reading that! I can see i'm going to come back without a voice today!!! PLAY UP POMPEY!!!!!
Everyone Raise the roof, and show that we are one of the best fans in the world! PLAY UP POMPEY!
I'm there. Let's rock
You can count on me and the boys Landlord ! PTID
Rug, it's heartbreaking to see what anguish the mess THEY have gotten Pompey into is causing you, I know first-hand. I wish this could all be over and there be a good ending to it all. Go there today and roar. Sing your heart out. Everybody cheer them on as never before, leave all the negative stuff behind if just for today and blow everybody's mind that a club in such crisis can still have a following like Pompey has. If it has to be the last day, let the world see that you are all 'Pompey till you die'. But if the worst does happen Rug, they can't take away the history and the pride. They can't take your memories, being at Wembley with your bro watching them win the FA cup. The 'European Tour'. And if, God forbid, the worst thing happens, in the future if a new phoenix rises from the ashes, you WILL be there again, roaring them on.
Blimey Rug's family are motivational speakers - HEAR HEAR! I'll be singing PLAY UP POMPEY long into the night. Pompey and Proud.
Indeed. One more little thing make THEM ashamed of what they have done to both the club and the best bunch of loyal fans in the game, I know they have no shame and hearts of stone, but go for it!
I would just like to thank Peter Storrie, Sasha, SAF, Al Faraj, Harry Redknapp, Chainrai et al. for destroying the Football Club I have supported since 1954, when I first went their with my Dad. To the bunch of greedy, couldn't careless Berstards that you are, I hope you take pride in pocketing the millions you have made off our hard earnings. You richly deserve each other and I hope that one day you will, well and truly get your comeuppence. Although I doubt it, because without a conscience you won't even be aware of what you have achieved, in bringing down a great historic Football Club. I hope your bloody pleased withyourselves.
Effing right Rug, just one thing erm Mike1954 why are you criticising Chanrai? Either you dont read or have misunderstood but that man Chanrai, who has honestly declared he has no interest in sport or buying the club has twice rescued ( with little or no hope of recovering his money) our club from finishing, and, if this afternoon press rumours are to be believed????? BIG !!!!PICH OF SALT !!!!! i know, may have just done it again. It maybe just rumours again, but that Chanrai ( why mike why?)has pushed Sasha ( definetly get that one Mike) into a deal where they write off a large sum of the club debt, additionally Chanrai ( remember this man is not interested in football) has reportedly agreed to look at buying FP and leasing it back to the club. that would save us circa 10M, and go along way to a judge thinking we are solvent. If these rumours are true we could almost certainly be reading Rug happily loosing it with ref's for a great many years to come. i desperately hope these rumours are true, i have been going to fratton for some 35 years. Blame where due, credit to those caught up and trying to act responsibly- where due.
Mike1954 these rumours are now on ESPN and other places and we are certainly looking at 10 mill but could be looking at a 15 plus mill debt write off if true.
russellm, I have read so much that I don't know fact from fiction anymore, and I don't think anyone else does either. I said here earlier I don't think anyone could give us a true synopsis of the situation we are in, including Chanrai. It truly is a moving feast. You think I may have been harsh to include Chanrai in my rant, but honestly I am fed up with all of them. Until I see evidence we are out of the downward spiral we are in, and see proof that he has got us this (unverified story) 10m-15m, whatever his motives, I remain angry. I know and appreciate he doesn't want the Club, and if I was in his position I would want out as well. However, isn't there some truth in the fact he was at war with Gaydamk's Dad, which does make me question his motives. But see now I'm beginning confuse the myths and legends, and until we go under or we are saved, he remains in my bad books. Sorry Russellm.
