Raising the cup aloft again!

Raising the cup aloft again!

'Pompey will go on an raise the coveted trophy yet again', not my vote, yours - although these findings from pompeygray's poll are thoughts that I hope and pray can be the case with us for the FA cup this season...

It is not beyond the realms of possibility that we might not even have a club come quarter finals, we have to be realistic about this, but lets try and be positive and think we will - 'takeover talk' helps raise these hopes but we MUST NOT get carried away - in which case WHY should we not go on and win it?

Yep, others will be more strongly fancied than us but I think if anyone deserves something to cheer this season it is us, right...

  • What the poll asked - How far will Pompey go in the FA Cup?

  • How you voted - Raise the Coveted trophy yet again 42%, Go out in the Semi Final 34%, Go out in the Quarter Final 16%, Lose in the Cup Final 8%

Before we move on what are your thoughts on what the last poll concluded? You know what to do, thoughts below please guys...

Its very odd isn't it. On the one hand we are facing oblivion and on the other we're one match from Wemberly again and starting to believe we can do it again. How are we supposed to sleep at night?

Main man for Pompey? I wouldn't think so

Harsh? Maybe, but do I really feel ex-Middlesbrough, Doncaster and Oldham forward Main will be in Pompey's 1st team, becoming a key member of Jackett's starting XI? Well, no.

Interest in Plymouth midfielder? Unfortunately not

Apparently, having stolen the League Two title from Plymouth, we'll not be taking the Pilgrims' best player, ex-Celtic midfielder Carey, currently out-of-contract at Home Park.
