Quincy cuts em up!

Well, I have literally just got back from Scum Towers - get in there!

I do not, and am not trying to, overshadow Paul's report at all so just wanted to say a few words, mostly to FINALLY get that title out there, 'Quincy cuts em up,' which is something that Ken came out with at Citeh the other week and we have been desperate to use since...

Quincy Owusu-Abeyie certainly did make a massive difference, and his arrival as a sub changed the game! An instant hero to Pompey fans. It is time that Vital Pompey did a new t-shirt, methinks my design skills could be working on something along those lines!

The scummers can, and did, wave money in our faces, taunted us that we are going out of business, threw rocks at us on the buses, tried to turn them over etc. etc. but WE did you 1-4, so all I can say to them is '4-1, in your own backyard...'

Whatever happens now no one can take this away from us, and, for this weekend at least I know that I will forget everything else that is going on - lets milk this for all we can and think purely of this for the weekend.

This is what this was all about - one team in Hampshire, there's only one team in Hampshire...

1st thing Quincy did was get the scums captain booked, 2nd thing is score a beauty, 3rd thing set up Dindane to score. Not bad since he had barely even been on the pitch for more than 10 minutes. Lets hope he has gained confidence and takes it into the league. So much for him being all pace and no end product!!! I'm still on a proper high and as you say Rug gonna milk this for all it's worth, especially considering my girlfriends parents are scummers!!!! There's only one team in Hampshire!!!!

Quincy certainly showed some class, he seemed to have all the time in the world to pick out a superb finish for his goal, he may have had a little luck with the pass for Dindanes goal squeezing it through a tight gap between two Southampton players but he certainly looks worth a starting place.

Last time around we say the 27 minutes of bliss from Lomana LuaLua in the first half, this time around Quincy Owusu-Abeyie takes the headlines in the last 27 minutes... A sign of things to come? I hope so! 4-1, in your own back yard!!...

Didn't we do well? I just loved the look on the boys faces after O'Hara scored, just said it all for me. Good luck to them - how about these lads taking us to Wembley then?

"We're talking about human lives!!" What a game, what an atmosphere, it was awesome at Walkabout in Guildhall Walk, so I can only imagine what it was like at SMS. Brilliant day, and I'm off to bed cos I've had waaaaaay too much to drink...PUP!! P.S. Has this, or has this not, softened the blow of the looming admin/liquidation?!

Quincy.....our new Jammy Dodger... Play Up Pompey. I don't quite know what to do with myself down here in Cornwall. Want to shout it to the rooftops, but would probably get arrested....What a win, bloody scumtastic.

What a wonderful day. We bow at Mr Quincy, we thank you. You changed the game after Jamo had kept us in it. Forever Pompey.

If we do fold, what a way to bow out. We finally got to flex our muscles as the stronger team in Hampshire. Whether we deserved it or not, the difference in quality showed in the end. PUP.

Until he came on i thought we were dead, we couldnt get the ball past half way without long balling it. I actually beleived in God for the first time in 10 years when Quincy celebrated that goal, if he keeps banging em in i will join the church ;)

Woefull first half and Wilson showed again how he can be a frequent liability but then it happened 4,3,3 and ( as the banner line should have read Rug) Quincy cut them open, super pompey beat the scum, beat the scum! 4-1 to the Pompey boys, 4-1 to the Pompey boys - repeat etc etc. And Leonie now says she's looking forward to valentines when half way through the first half she was moving out! Hey I gotta give a girl a chance

When the second goal went in, it seemed to take ages to trickle over the line, but didn't look like that on the hightlights. Quincy was an inspiration and credit to Jamo and OHara as well. And Avram is a star! We're going to enjoy this for a long while, whatever happens off field.

I was saying at the Citie game that when Quincy came on, although he was only on say 5 mins, he looked to get into lots of space, yet the ball would not go 2 him...possibly as players want use 2 him! He also showed that he was not scared to run with the ball! Yet the following games people were already starting to write him off, saying that he was a fast, stupid player which I felt was unfair as not given a chance 2 settle. I said to Rug that I had a feeling he might be ok. Don't get me wrong as I ain't gettin carried away, but although might not have cut it at the Gunners, must have had glimpses of potential surely!
