Linvoy For New Deal

Linvoy Primus has agreed a year's extension to his current agreement which will see him at Pompey until the summer of 2008 at least.

And Pompey are offering new deals to Matt Taylor, Gary O'Neil and Richard Hughes.

Redknapp sees Primus as a powerful important player who he believes can help Pompey to the next level next year.

Primus has been at Pompey since joining from Reading in 2000.

Primus said: 'The deal is agreed in principal and that is very pleasing for me.

'Everything is in place so I just need to go in and sign it in the next few days.

'I want to finish my career at Pompey, and this takes me closer to achieving that.'

No doubt he won't be in the team at the start of the year, be rumoured to leave and then become an important first team player!
