'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Jamie Doesn't Want The Job

Harry Redknapp has told Jamie Redknapp he wants him to become a coach and future manager at Fratton Park, revealing that the Pompey hierarchy are also keen on the idea.

Jamie Redknapp has apparently rang Harry a few times during games with the offer of advice.

Jamie has been out of the game since retiring from football last summer, but the former Liverpool and Tottenham midfielder has a post waiting for him at Fratton Park should he choose to accept it.

'Well Milan would like you to come to the club and so would Gaydamak,' said Harry in an interview conducted by his son in The Daily Mail.

'What they want is for me to have a couple of years and then groom someone to take over.

'You'd be great, I'm not saying you are coming, I'm just saying I'd like you to.

'I don't want to stand on the touchline for ever.'

However Jamie, currently a pundit for Sky Sports, says he is currently happy working in the media.

'I've told him, and I tell him again, I'm happy talking football on Sky,' wrote Jamie.

'What he does looks too much like hard work.'

Jamie’s sky contract runs out this summer so whether Jamie joins Pompey could be down to sky.

Unfortunately, knowing jamie, i know that he's too honest to follow in his dads footsteps. He could never be a two faced, lying, cheating, backstabbing, thieving arséhole.

You see my trip into the Future is panning out afterall. Quote "Managed by Jamie Rednapp and also watched by his father Harry in a wheelchair, the Pompey chimes rang out loud around the packed Wembley Stadium - recently completed."
