It is very much possible that the 'off-the-field' issues could well end our survival hopes, well in fact end our club, but for one minute lets 'try' and push those to one side.
Although, and as hard as it is, we have to try and think positive - on-the-field we do look done, lets admit it, but 'IF' we are to pull off the greatest escape EVER, and this would top 2005/06, the next 3 games WILL make or break us!
These are:
Sunderland (h)
Stoke (h)
Burnley (a)
You look at these and think 'ding dong, I will have some of that!'
3 wins on the spin and some light, as far as survival in the league this season goes - even though survival as a club clearly means more to us - can be seen.
Oh, if only it was that simple eh...
Yep we CAN win all 3 but when you have ONLY won 4 league games all season from 24 games and have not won in the league since October I think it is fair to say that 3 on the bounce will be 'tough!'
Time will tell if we can, but one thing that has to be a certainty is that Avram Grant bloody well MUST go all out to do this - sod the 4-5-1, this is not working, lets go 4-4-2 or even 4-3-3 (with a genuine 3!) and go out swinging.
He himself has said that tonight is a must win and we WILL go for the win, so lets hope we do and then we get this so we do the same in the next games to follow - of course the outcome of the business with HMRC will determine how many 'next games' we might have...
I would honestly rather see us lose going for it than lose sitting back as we have done of late, if we did this we can at least go out with some pride...Lets go, if we are to go, with a roar not a whimper!
Lets just 'hope' that the off-the-filed issues do not have the final say in things and then on it we can do what we need, the greatest escape in the history of escapes begins tonight...
