Premier league meeting

The following - see below - gives you a rough idea of the kind of agenda that will be coming up during the meeting that has been organised between a few Pompey fans and the premier league today...

PLAY UP POMPEY!

Guys,

As you all know myself and a few others are off to see our good friends at the Premier league today. We have a broad range of questions, but they all fit within an agenda that is listed below.

1: The Fit and Proper Persons Test: It is clear to us fans that it doesn't work as Daniel Azougy's activity at Portsmouth FC has shown. How will it ensure effective ownership of Portsmouth FC going forward?

2: The Premier Leagues powers to regulate and even Administer Portsmouth FC: Is this a viable option and if not how can the Premier League help us to save Portsmouth FC?

3: Suitability of punishments for entering Administration: Due to the unique circumstances that have beset Portsmouth FC, the Premier League should accept that there SHOULD NOT be any points deduction if the club enters Administration or is taken over by the Premier League.

4: The process if Peter Storrie should be convicted of cheating the Public Revenue. What will happen to Portsmouth FC?

I will be taking notes/minutes of the meeting.

I keep on hearing the Premier League bleating on about how the Fit and Proper persons test is nothing to do with funds to run the club, in which case why is it called the Fit and Proper persons test? surely it should be the Proper Persons test as that is all they're really checking. If they're checking the fitness of the person to manage the club surely that should by default include their ability to fund the club.

1, Daniel Agouzt was not required to complete a F&P person test as he did not own the club or invest in it
2. If and when that situation arises the Premier Leagiye will act as it sees fit
3. The Premier League will decide on punishments if and when the situation arises
4. That is a matter for the owner of Portsmouth Football Club..

Save yourself a journey Brendon !

Come to think of.. do go and ask them what they are gonna do about Nicky Shorey playing for his 3 clubs in a season as he did the other night in our game with Fulham
Chix
Chix, the third team rule was discussed on SSN on Monday night. According to them the FA are 'extremely' lenient towards the player and in the majority ie over 90% of cases they will let it pass. This is why managers will go ahead before permission is given and buy players that have already played for two clubs. i.e. Begovic

Having seen this list of questions, Q.4 they will simply say "that is a matter between PS and the judicial system & PFC". The rest of the questions seem to be very intent on causing the club more damage than anything else !! The main point is how are they, as a governing body going to ensure that a "FAPPT" is applied that is both robust and fair to all parties? Also, get the finance sorted in the game, i.e. if you sell a player, you MUST clear all the remaining debt for that player !! it ain't rocket science FFS! PUP

I agree with that BA.

I'm a little dissapointed by the questions being asked. As Chix has said we could probably all answer these ourselves. As for the 3 teams rule it appears that 'emergency loans' have been invented by the PL/FA/FL to flout this rule - hence Begovic will play for Stoke as his Ipswich loan was an 'emergency' one (despite them having other fit & available goalkeepers at the time). I personally will be very surprised if they do anything other than pay lip service to be honest. Those questions are a waste of everybody's time in my opinion
PFCGino
Gino - we are Pompey fans we will not give up and will keep trying. Waste of time probably but we will leave no stone unturned in our efforts to save OUR club.

i am sure, knowing that ken is going, the right things will be asked with the right amount of pressure put on - remember we are talking about a guy who is not affraid to tred on a few toes, and i suspect a few of those also in it are not affraid of breaking them!
the 'questions', if you read what brendon says, are more about the agenda and various spin-off questions to each agena would have come along...
pompeyrug
Sure Rug .. but I still think it is a waste of time, but if the 'frattmuddle martyrs' can think they can help who are we as Pompey fans to stand in thier way
Chix
isnt it better than doing nothing at all tho...
pompeyrug
you are not in a good mood today are you chixy?
