Pompey competition update #23

Fantasy Football - 'Vital Pompey League'

There was no change in the fantasy.premierleague.com 'Vital Pompey League' after the latest game (although no update has been done to the table yet due to the Monday game and midweek ones coming up) as portsm@ retained top spot on 1320pts in total.

This is how top 3, of 82, currently stands:

1portsm@1320
2The Pompey Chimes1309

PLEASE NOTE: Unfortunately as the game was set up as a 'head-to-head' Fantasy Football game those not registered before the season kicked off cannot join... I have been told, having contacted the people that run the game, you cannot change this from 'head-to-head' to a 'classic version' once you have started!

This will explain why people have not been able to join since the season started - the only way I could amend things would be to create a new league and start fresh from October, but I would suspect people would not want this?

You cannot carry previous point over into a new league...

'Pompey Predictions League'

There was also no change again in the Pompey predictions league after the Citeh game, so uspompeyfan retained top spot for an 8th game on 54pts in total.

This is how top 3, of over 50 at present, currently stands:

PLEASE NOTE: There are cash prizes for the top 3 in this game. Plus a £5 cash prize for each month's top points scorer - you have to be 'in it to win it' though!

Citeh meant the end of the month, with little league action for Pompey. This also means manager of the month time with nodster's 14pts earning them this for January!

Anyone can enter at anytime so just because you missed out on predicting for the last game with Citeh - or any others - it is not too late, simply joining for the next against Fulham tomorrow.

I have made it even easier for you to get involved by putting the forum link for this next game below...

    No Crawley return for Tubbs

Tubbs doesn't have a future at Pompey, he's on the transfer-list but offloading him could be difficult given his wages. These wouldn't be anywhere within Crawley's reach.

Pitfalls of Sheffield Wednesday loanee returning

As Catlin put it 'the gamble' of aiming sign Sheffield Wednesday loanee Lavery has to be one Pompey fans understand. It isn't as cut and dried as saying 'he's a free agent' sign him!

    Lassie coming home...well sort of!

A-box-to-box player, capable of defensive duties, with ability to burst forward with intent to make things happen - Diarra is Pompey's man and wants an England return. I jest of course!

    Will pair stay at Fratton?

It's been made (more than once) clear by Catlin Pompey want Davies & Hollands to stay. Both (also more than once) have said they want to this - deals have to be right for all concerned.
