Ricardo Rocha .. Anybody ?

Ricardo Rocha .. Anybody ?

More to follow.. but basically Standard Leige have announced the following on their website

'Following an agreement between Ricardo Rocha and Portsmouth FC, the Portuguese player and Standard Liege have terminated the agreement which normally expired June 30, 2010.

Ricardo Rocha asked our CEO to express for supporters of the club all the satisfaction he was playing for Standard Liege. It was a real pleasure has he stressed.

We obviously wish him much success in his return to the Premier League.'

Well fellas .. yet another Spurs connection .. What do ya think.. he is a Centre-Half after all .. but he's hardly set the world alight.. five appearances for Spurs .. but numerous fro Benfica and a few international caps top boot .. better than Ben Haim.. I wonder !

haha, well put it this way i trust Grant ALOT more than Hart when it comes to signings, so i don't see why he can't be a good player for us, but it'll take some special performances to keep us up i fear. (if we are still a club by the end of the season of course :/)

i cant understand wats happened to ben Haim - quality defender when at Bolton - for me on paper James, Hermann, Tal, Wilson, Finnan, Belhadj, O'Hara, Boetang/Brown, Yebda, Piqqui and Utaka is ok.... except it doesnt seem to work !

That's a pretty poor side Ben HAim and Finnan are crap at best .. Boateng is lightweight.. Piq is a tryer but that's it ... Utaka always fails to deliver... Belhadj is a liability .. seriously it aint good but if that's what we've got I'll get behind them

ben haim is ok but him and wilson together is not the greatest partnership. kaboul could cover for wilson as well as his own position ben haim doesnt have that ability. wilson gets himself into the wrong position too many times, although he does have good confidence in his own game, sometimes over confidence

No More Quarter Final Replays For Pompey

Should Portsmouth progress through to an FA Cup quarter final from the 2016/17 season onwards, the game will no longer be subject to a replay.

On this day in history...27th May

Chesterfield's O'Shea targeted

Although so far Pompey have had two bids turned down for Chesterfield's O'Shea. Will, assuming another bid (as it's expected) is made, it be third time luck for the Blues?

It wasn't Real Madrid but Bristol City isn't bad!

Contrary to what I just wrote (muppet that I am) this isn't at Fratton this is at Ashton Gate with Pompey heading to Bristol City on Saturday 30th July, with a 3pm kick-off.
