Kaboul departure confirmed

Kaboul departure confirmed

Younes Kaboul's departure from Pompey, and return to Spurs, has been confirmed on The Pompey Site today.

Whilst his departure, and return to Spurs at that, is not in the least a surprise - as this seems a must - it does not make the selling of yet another of our key players bitterly disappointing, even more so with it being on the eve of the game with Citeh.

Younes has been fantastic for us and no doubt returns to Spurs a better player so we can take some comfort - I guess - in the fact that we have YET AGAIN managed to improve a player, although I would be amazed if we have got anywhere near the '£14m price tag' put on his head, in fact I suspect it is a fraction of that being that it is an 'undisclosed amount.'

I would also almost 100% guarantee that we HAVE NOT put in a future sell on clause of our own...

Lets just PRAY that this money WILL be reinvested into the club, although other than paying off this month's wages I would be surprised if the remainder is not 'pocketed' by someone!

I wish him the best of luck, not that The Pompey Site did - it barely said anything, and despite the fact we had to sell it does not make it any less gutting, like what is happening to PFC - we are being gutted, that this has happened...

Kabouuuuuuuuuuul. Great player. Good luck to him. Shouldn't have too much problem nudging out Dawson or the injured ones. We've still got Williamso..... oh no! Can Primus do a Schumacker?

The Prince won't be happy his best mate has gone. So in terms of talent we're down to The Prince, James (arguable) and Belhadj.

Gutted that he has gone to spurs, but even more so when I read on several sites that the undisclosed fee is believed to be as low as 5 million! FFS are we determined to destroy the club? I truly pray that we do go into administration sooner rather than later, because only then will we truly know what the position is, and have a hope of being saved.

Soul destroying YES !! Thanks Younes, it was great to see you improve as a player, and to see a player give 100% both on the pitch, and when confronting an angry mob ! Well done, you have conducted yourself with a great deal of dignity. Yes the OS has been pathetic in its report of this disaster, but probably because of the lack of news it has been fed. Don't know why they bothered paying the £2K ??? Right, must prepare myself for the next Fecking Departure !!!!

Predictable but gutting all the same, I hope he can fulfill his potential to its full, always get a good reception at Fratton if he ever returns

tbh I'd rather not have that line 'we wish him the best of luck' bcos then you have to do it for every player and I'm sure fans would moan if the OS was wishing Defoe,Quashie etc the best of luck. Best just to treat it as a news story.

Having said that; he's far from the finished article. He gets caught out soo often, but then he's still better than anything else we have. Oh for Sol, Distin, Linvoy, Arjan...

Whizz - I don't thik it matters whether we have got Belhadj or Rooney on the pitch, if the club is folding underneath, talent counts for nothing.

The win over Newport saw Pompey react well to the defeat to Stevenage with most results going in the Blues' favour too, meaning we've effectively got a seven point buffer on Boro.
