Who should we really be protesting against?

Who should we really be protesting against?

Which way will you vote in the latest Vital Pompey poll, suggested by pompey--pessimist, as we try to gage what direction people feel any protesting, if it makes any difference, should be aimed?

  • What the poll is asking

Who should we really be protesting against?

  • Which way to vote?

No-one; The Board; The FA/Premier League; The Media.

I reckon people would go between the board and the FA/PL. Maybe our protest should be in Soho Square. There would be red faces all round and the media would love it. It would get national appeal. It seems most fans (even a few Scum fans too) are feeling sorry for us and can't believe we put up with this turd.

I don't think we can do much to salvage anything now, but lets not go out quietly.

They wanted to test the NEW FAPPT ... Well, I think we can all agree that it's worked REALLY WELL! No really it has. They are fit - they run away as fast as they can, so fast we cant even see them. We, the fans, should be compensated by the FA/PL and they should re-finance the club should we go into liquidation.

The thing is, I am embarrassed and as fans we shouldn't be. We are being made a mockery of and it's not right.

Maybe we should have those that made it to MOTD2 give the BBC a fans interview. The media need to be assured the reason were not going is not because were bottom but because were fed up and disillusioned by the whole thing. Well anyway, I'm mumbling... but hopefully ya get me!

Make sure you vote on this latest poll to your right, but share you views below too...

Pess.. as one of those on MOTD2 I'd happily give an interview and it might be worth persuing this if that what people want.. but I still do go top Fratton Park and will continue to go as long as we have a club.. When it comes to the goings on behind the scenes I do get a lot of tip-offs (lot of crap too) and I do sometimes get news before release and the like but it doesn't mean I know anymore more than anybody else or that my opinion is more valid that anybody else's .. In all honesty none of us have the whole picture.. A better idea might be a bit of "aggressive journalism" (Paxman style) aimed a Agouzy, Jacobs and Storrie & co.. but Surely that is the role of our local paper.. Time they got off there arse and did a real job

Oh.. I voted 'no-one' as I don't believe a protest will acheive anything other than to wind everybody up .. The wrong doer's need exposing .. a protest is not going to do that.

Are the current owners to blame for the mess? The unpaid bills in the past, the stupid contracts offered to players?? Sure they have not got the financial muscle to sort it out but they did not start it.

already explored the BBC avenue this morning chixy, doubt it will come to anything tho - various avenues are being sought by many people now, something, anything to get messages out there for people to take notice is all they can do...

the current owners did not start the mess, totally agree but if they could not sort it out then why are they here? if they cannot then admit they cannot but then cannot keep stripping this club bare, and that 'seems' very much what they are doing now doesnt it?
'if' there really are others out there looking to 'save us' then why, if that is the case, are these guys making it so hard for them...
all in all protesting against anyone 'probably' will not do anything but i guess if we shout and scream enough now about whatever we can to whoever we can that 'might' make some difference - i just WISH that i had been as sure about the wrong doings going on now, that we do now, several weeks back as it 'might' have given more time to make a difference, but we must fight on, right? i still do not think i will be marching anywhere tho...

Agree with you there Rug. I think all the choices in the poll have contributed in some way to our present position so I'm a 'don't know'.

Rug, if the new owners did not come in as Storrie said we would be in admin now- yes i, me russellm actually believe for once storrie was telling the truth. furthermore when the owners were first in they had a major backer and did not realise how hard it would be to find another. My complaint against the owners is the continued trip we get fed, when we get fed anything at all. I think that with various expensive contracts ending or coming u for review in July 10 the statements from various that if we survive to the end of the season we will be financially secure are probably true. sadly im assuming also this is based on income from relegation parachute payments. we should be protesting the board to tell us facts that is all

With hindsight, wouldn't it have been better if the current owners left us alone and let us go bankrupt? Better than this terrible rupture whic is bleeding us slowly to death. We could have done administration, takeover, and been on our way again by now.

Unfortunately, part of the problem is that we don't know the truth, and therefore can't positively target our protest against the right party!!! I have voted the FA/Prem, only because the whole premiership mess needs sorting out......too late for us, I'm afraid. But their complacency has played a major part... In hindsight a stricter FAPPT may have seen us go under a lot sooner, cos undoubtedly had SAF and then AAF not come in we would not be here now. Unfortunately, both came in as complete amatuers (or very clever developers with a plan - yet to be seen) and were unable to do anything apart from drag us through the mire.
