Begovic to join Spurs/Stoke/Arsenal

Asmir Begovic looked certain to join Spurs, although BBC Stoke now says that they are 'close to signing him' for £2m?

Then again The News is now 'claiming' that Arsenal have made a late bid, in the region on £5m? Although they also say it will not be enough to 'gazump' Spurs' offer...

Wherever Begovic goes, and his departure 'seems' - and already had 'seemed' - nailed on, he DOES need 'special dispensation' from Fifa to be able to feature for a 3rd club this season, having already played for us and Ipswich on loan this season.

Some 'reports' have 'claimed' that this Fifa permission had been granted to Spurs on Friday?

Does it just píss me off or does anyone else wonder about the fact that however many players we sell, however much the wage bill is eased and however much we wipe off transfer debts by giving players back to clubs our overall debt still gets reported as £60M. Are we just throwing the money down a bottomless pit ie peter storrie and co., was the debt reported wrong originally, or is it reported wrong now. And why, when I keep saying to people I couldnt give a shít anymore, does the latest piece of Pompey cráp fúck me off so much

Who will be the goalie going forward. More importantly who will be the fans. No players plus no money suggests to me no fans...or certainly alot less than there were. Yes they can now all jump off the bandwaggon as it grinds to a hault, well and truly.

Has Harry got a special mate at FIFA with big fifty-pound note sized pockets?

2 MIL!?!?!?! aahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh i cant take much more of this *****e! he is worth way more than that!!! there is no god :(
nodster
maybe Utaka will come good as a goalkeeper??
nodster
lol Nodser .. Utaka in goa you never know ..
Souperbock.. The money is going straight into Agouzy's sky rockets.. .. How come when the embargo was lifted and we got the reamining £1.7m .. that it was sadi that we hac to sell Kaboul to pay the wages bill of £1.6.. That leftover money from the FA has just vanished..
Chix
Chix I've been wondering about that too. Rug the quote is: "Pompey agreed a £13m deal with them (Spurs) to sign the duo, with Kaboul commanding around £10m of that figure. Arsenal are thought to have come in with an offer in the region of £5m for Begovic, but that does not appear to have been enough to gazump Harry Redknapp's side". Now I'm not a brilliant mathematician but by my reckoning Spurs are offering £3m for Beg. Surely Arsenals £5m is a damn sight better? Or is it a question of us giving our crown jewels to Spurs on the cheap?
PFCblue
The spurs deal involves them writing off debts and interest payments on those debts, just removing those payments off the sheet probably makes it worth it to the club.
russellm
Go to Arsenal you plum.
stillthewhizz
Letys face it they getting what ever money they can get quickly before legging it leaving us right in the ****

There are obviously other outstanding debts than just the wages, website, catering, marquee, police, tax/NI (1.2M a month) etc etc etc - it is a very large black hole. PUP

Begovic cost only 2 ml?After this season the price will be 20 ml.Why sell him?Why not Utaka or Boateng?
Stanley (Moscow)
with abit of luck there all fight over him and no two parties agree and the transfer window shuts and he has to stay till the summer

Don't forget guys ! The club faces a winding up petition in 2 weeks time, perhaps they are saving up to make a last minute deal to HMRC ? .....Who Knows?
BarneyArmy
Also, any last minute hopes that we won't sell are misguided! Don't forget, the only chance these muppets (positivity slipping) have of raising any money in the next 3 months dries up in the next 36 hours !!!! Be afraid, be very afraid
BarneyArmy
Just £2million for Begovic?? That's what happens when you let other people negotiate these deals. Our dealmaster general, Peter Storrie should have been out and about negotiating this deal. After the roaring success he had getting us taken over by a harmless but deluded Arab with no money and subsequently re-taken over by a bunch of crooks and thieves, I'm quite certain that Peter could have taken Asmir to market and come back with a handful of beans.
PhilTaglia
No Phil, he would have lost the beans on the way home...
gandor1
It all smells. The money will leave the club. We'll be left without sufficent covert & the camel breath w4ankers will still put us into administration!!!!
