No wages, yet...

No wages, yet...

Sky sports news 'understands' that wages have failed to be paid on time again, which 'if' confirmed would be a 3rd month in a row this has happened!

'Technically' as payment is not due until Sunday it is not late, although clearly due to the banking system at the weekend most 'decent' businesses would make sure this went through on the Friday, although Monday would not be completely out of the question, and The Herminator said the players remained 'hopeful' it would arrive on Monday.

That said to be honest if I were a player, or a member of staff; I would not be holding my breath that this would come through today or Monday!

As of this morning I was told that there was 'no news' on wages.

The sky sports 'report' ended by saying 'the club remain confident that the players will receive their wages in the near future.'

Sorry, but a 'professionally' run organisation SHOULD NOT be 'confident' that wages will go through 'in the near future' they should ASSURE people that this is this case! The fact that this assurance can never be offered continues to speak volumes...

While Harry Redknapp has 'revealed', not that we needed it, that Spurs are 'keen to bring him back if the deal is good for everybody,' this was in regards to Younes Kaboul.

Sky sports also say that Spurs chairman Daniel Levy is in 'advanced talks' over the defender.

Although, and I have not heard this myself, Peter Storrie is already 'said' to have confirmed, even though he was not involved with the deal(s), that it is done as is a move for Asmir Begovic...

Utter Shambles ! It's not just the fact that it is out of order to get your wages late. But ALWAYS before an important match (Not that I think we will get Feck All at Citeh). Regardless of what the players are saying, they will not be in the best of minds.... Pathetic, pathetic, pathetic

Yeh some sources are saying it is done & others nearly done! S, saying financially the club survives till the end of the season & Jamo stays, will Jamo be shuffled with Ashdown so that Jamo will play so many games, have the occassional injury/flu where Ashdown steps in, if he is still here to fill the blanks. That way Jamo will get to push for England, yet not play the required games to trigure the contract extension? Saying that, they will probably all go and and we will have them Voluntary Services Overseas (VSO) filling in as we are so in need!! http://frattonise.blogspot.com/2010/01/pompey-sign-unique-co-operation-deal.html?

Reports in fact are claiming that both Younnes and Asmir are out! This perhaps sums up the whole tragedy, and we are now going down. We haven't got a goalkeeper, unless James is ready to play himself. I am surprised Williamson was sold when Kaboul was also being sold. Who is going to play at the back now if we have injuries to wilson or Ben Haim? Mokoena???

Peter Storrie said on ESPN "The two best players on the pitch in our last game against West Ham, Kaboul and Begovic, have been sold to Spurs, and - who knows? - it might not stop there." think the whole thing is a shambles and im gutted for you guys, but at least Ohara will give you his all and hopefully can help keep you up. Good luck....

My understanding is that the wages depend of the Spurs money being paid for Kaboul and Begovic. I hope so for your sake. I hope as well that given Begovic cannot play for Spurs this season that we loan him back to you for the rest of the season. None of us want to be agents in Pompey's demise so I hope things get sorted. The traffic between our two clubs over the last year or so does not reflect well on anybody but my firm hope is that our manager - your previous manager - is doing his best to help you out, not kick you when you're down.

You guys realise Peter Storrie is on bonanza wages right? To be honest, I couldn't care less if he ended up getting Abu Dhabi to invest into Pompey, nothing can justify his £2,033,751 salary for last year.

everyone seems to forget we have nemeii another goal kepper on the wage bill that we never use and probs never will wat a waste of money if you look at the squad of players we have got on the clubs website theres a handfull that get played and anyone has heard about unless we got the next messi in the ranks i cant see us staying up with are best players being sold off by someone at the club no one knows. also according to the law if anyone doesnt get paid within 14days of the wages due then they have the right to quit for free and without working a notice
