'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Southampton v Pompey - unconfirmed ticket info

The News reports that 4,200 tickets will be available to Pompey for the FA cup game with The Scummer next month, Saturday 13th February with a 12.45pm kick-off - although this 'could' change to 12.30pm.

A spokesman is said to have said: 'the 500 fans who travelled to Coventry for the FA cup third round replay earlier this month will all be entitled to a ticket.'

The News also says that full details about when tickets are to go on sale will be announced by the club soon.

well that means i am a dead cert along with ken then as we both went - photographic evidence if needed is in the form of the photo above, which i noticed after i downloaded to have it added to the vital images has both of us in it...

'the 500 fans who traveled to Coventry for the FA cup third round replay earlier this month will all be entitled to a ticket.'... Umm.. sounds about right (I think) .. but if they are distinguishing between supporters, the 150 who went to Carlisle in the League Cup should also get priority .. mind you most of them were at Coventry too I guess.. There's gonna be unfairness whichever way it falls .. oh how I crave a 'golden ticket' .. must eat more Wonka Bars..
chix
i want 2 golden tickets then as i also did carlisle ;-)
pompeyrug
it is going to be a mass scramble for tickets isnt it, WHY couldnt we have been drawn at home to have made it so much easier, then again i guess that would not have been any 'fairer' as such in some ways would it as i suspect there are many season ticket holders that have not done ANY league cup or fa cup games this season so far but would have got first dibs regardless...then again that is the bonus you have for having a season ticket?
pompeyrug
So "ordinary season ticket holders" are second in the queue? If you went to Coventry, you'll go to them down the road. That leaves 3,700 tickets for (about) 10,000 STH's? 'Twill be a bit of a bun fight.
uktony
season ticket holders that went to previous cup games would then be ahead of other season ticket holders tho, surely?
i reckon we have lost 'around' 300 seats due to the segregation coming out of our lot!
pompeyrug
So that's you dressed as a drum then Rug?
pentonpompey
Yep - that could happen. You're right, capacity (and thus our allocation) will be reduced by the segregation. I wonder if they'll move to "applications in person"? That'll bu**er me up. As Chix says, someone will lose out.
uktony
What IS Ken up to?
uktony
ken looks like a kid in a sweet shop, this was just after mokoena had scored the winner and he likes mokoena - Chix you MUST show him the dance next time you see him...

the news claims it is 'first come first served' for season ticket holders - it will be a blood bath!
pompeyrug
should be a good game. i'm expecting the pompey scummers to just nick it
dazza147
I'm not playing dazza
Pompeyscum
I went to Coventry in 1966 will I qualify?? ;-)
eastneydave
Made scramble for the big one, providing the HMRC don't pull the plug!!!
storagematt
I can't wait for this game, although after last night maybe I shoulnt be so confident; I wonder if Quincy wu wu wussie will play? Nah can't happen that would like a positive step!
russellm
wash you mouth out dazza saying the scummers will knick it... altho having read you comment agains it seems you are hedging your bets both ways...
by the way for anyone that might not know/wants to know dazza IS NOT a scummer, he is pompey boy as he is my brother!
pompeyrug
It really is going to be a blood bath isn't it. Good luck everyone! I couldn't make Coventry - so I've got to hope for the best. I really hope they don't make people queue up, I don't think I could handle queuing up all night, especially this weather, and may not be able to anyway, depending when it is. I'm actually assuming I won't get tickets and if I do its a bonus. But the Quay said the details would be on the OS today, and I've been checking all day, and nothing!
tracyc
i'm struggling to see if i'll actually be able to even watch it on TV. typical that it happens to fall on a day that I had planned out since september!
pompeycarpet
The quay announced earlier, 500 Coventry away's who apply by post (and send in ticket stubs- search the bin!!), then 3,700 left to season tkt holders from 01 Feb, not dependent on having been to any matches or any other criteria. You can apply by post, in person or on-line. Get searching for those ticket stubs, rug!
tracyc
Ok - forget the buying online bit - the OS has been pulled because the club haven't paid the bill. (true, not a wind-up). so that's queuing up on Monday morning then. . . I'm lucky I've got Monday off, otherwise it just the local unemployed season ticket holders then . . .
