No April Fool

Harry Redknapp has won manager of the month which he received at Fratton Park before the Liverpool game. He received a standing ovation from the Fratton faithful on receiving the reward from Milan and Sacha.

Pompey enjoyed a fantastic run of form last month and, under intense pressure, Harry's experience clearly provided a boost for the players,' said Matt Appleby of the Barclays Awards panel.

'His side continued to play attacking football at all times and was rewarded with a haul of 12 goals.'

Done Deal - Smith in permanently from Swindon

The interest Pompey retained in Smith, with him 'in our sights' has resulted in him returning to the Blues on a permanent basis after signing for an 'undisclosed fee' from Swindon.

Cushioning the blow

Much, that needed saying, about Webster's exit for Ipswich and the arrival of Clarke in return (and cash) has been said hasn't it? Doyle's been spot on with what he said.

Swindon striker in 'Pompey's sights'

Michel Smith, who was of course on loan last season, could return? He's still in 'Pompey's sights' by all accounts after Swindon informed him he's 'surplus to requirements' now.
