Pompey get to re-lock horns with the old enemy!

The last time we met is engraved indelibly in any Pompey fans heart, 24th April 2005, nearly five years ago now, but fresh in the memory.

The last time in the cup however was a more sorry story, Pompey were in a similar position finacially back in 1996, a 3-0 defeat occured on enemy territory, then they were top flight and Pompey were the lowly relatives, but for the slightly older fans 1984 may stick out as we lost to a late Steve Moran goal after hammering our then Europe threatening rivals.

Just what this club needs without a doubt. Some fire, passion and most importantly, unity.

However, it's important that we take this game at St Mary's because my mum (living close to FP) gets terrified of Scum playing at Fratton. John, Angelos, Freddie, Younes (if you're still here...) please make sure we get this sorted.

we met them in the FA cup more recently than 1996.... remember scummer crouch scoring a dodgy penalty for them?? time to make amends for that

Who will HR want to win? Will he let us have Pavlychenko on loan?

Doh. He'd be cup-tied! O'hara and Bentley aren't.

All Saints fans will wish to say, "thanks F.A for the bye into the quarter finals" A draw against a 'club' which will no longer exist in 3 weeks time! Just the ticket.

I'm pleased the Derby us back but I would have very much preffered a home tie! Let's hope we put up a show like the second half against Sunderland only this time we need to do if from the off cos the scum tales are and will be high.

well Rug predicted this, as did I to be fair in his article "Groves reflects, etc etc"...not sure how i feel about it....is it some good news in these times of ill winds, or is it a great tornado of ill fated destiny, Leeds had their dedctions and troubles then beat MUTD- who they reffer to as "scum"...i hope this is not the red stripes version

Having been to the last 3 cup games with scum & sadly see us lose them all, not to mention being there for the league cup game, so 4 out 4 defeats, I'm not I want to attend the 5th. However, bring it on & put the dirt little scummers in their place.

Mate of mine had a bet on us drawing the Scum and he was right. Me league games are more important at the moment.

Should be around 5,000 tickets, sorry Sc*mmers, that only gives you around 25,000 tickets.....that isn't enough for you to make a difference to our support....still 5th round for you isn't bad !! PUP

So a club that have been League Champions twice and won the FA Cup twice plays a club that have never ever won the League Championship and only won the FA Cup once (and with a dodgy offside goal at that). No contest really is it hornsea islander?

I think this is just the game we all need right now. Would of liked Fratton Park but if it has to happen at St Mary's then so be it. Now lets get this ban lifted and the players paid this week and get in the mood for a FA Cup Derby.

league champions!! that old chestnut!!! oh dear, everyone who knows anything about football will tell you that those 'league titles' were freak results as the country took time to settle back to civilian life after the suspension of football throughout the second world war years. that is the only reason. they are 'notional' league titles. still, if it gives you comfort in this time of mourning, like believing your club will soon be sat on a fluffy cloud with angels playing little blue harps all around it, then you keep believing it...

This is giving everyone the buzz they need, at the time they need it. Have to say the last time I went to the derby match at their place (it was the Dell then) we won 2-0 (3rd January 1988), so it will be great to keep that record going! Let the ticket scramble begin! Oh and Hornsea, you can try to dismiss our history if you want, but how many league titles has your scummy little club ever won? It's a round number isn't it?

Jealous of our History, Jealous of our (somewhat precarious) league superiority.....Jealous of the Blue.....Sad really. I think we had the good grace to sit in the lower leagues quite happily and let you have your days in the sun. We even made sure a Pompey Boy helped you win a cup FFS ! Talk about biting the hand that feeds.....you should be grateful we're even talking to you Hornsea! PUP

Notional? If you are going to try big words mate, get the context right, the records books and trophy are clearly engraved with Pompey's name on them, hardly just a notion is it?
