'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Priske: 'I love it here.'

Priske wants to stay at Pompey after he admitted 'I love it here.'

Priske said: 'It came as a big shock when Harry returned and immediately left me out.

'It was disappointing and frustrating because I had never been dropped like that before.

'I decided I had to show Harry in training that I was a good player and deserved my place. I still have two years on my contract, and I love it here. I know there is interest in me from clubs abroad, but it's all down to the manager.

'If he wants me to stay and be part of his plans, I'll be happy to do so.'

Priske does not need to worry though as Redknapp has Priske in his plans.

Redknapp said: 'I didn't know Brian and wasn't sure about him.

'I just thought he was a bit too laid-back. But he came in, took his chance, and has done what I asked of him.

'He has been terrific, and played magnificently in the nine games that ensured we stayed up. He's shown character and will be around next season.'

Great stuff. I liked Priske from the first time i saw him. I'm glad he didn't fall foul to the H.R. 'I didn't sign him, so i'm not gonna play him' syndrome. Show him some faith and he'll get better IMHO. pama who?

C'mon les, we all know that Pricke wouldn't have got a look in if pamarot had not got an injury. H.R. will always play his own, even if there is better in the reserves.
