Finance director quits?

Finance director quits?

The Telegraph today reports that Tanya Robins, our finance director, has resigned from the board?

The 'report' says that Robins has been 'sidelined by the new owners' and the resignation, which was decided by herself, had been on the cards so this now 'confirms the shift of power towards the new owner, Ali Al-Faraj.'

I am not a financial mind, and do not know how financial boardrooms operate at all but I am told that these kinds of actions would only normally happen if a blazing row had taken place over methods being used - or just being fed up with the situation! - or a knowledge of what is to come, and this makes life intolerable?

As I say though I am no financial mastermind and do not know how these things work, or 'if' The Telegraph is even right?

Most disturbing of all, from where I sit, - which could again be wrong - 'seems' to be that as complete power is now seemingly shifting to the current 'owners' we 'could' well then have a multiple convicted fraudster, Daniel Azougy, shortly in COMPLETE control of our financial affairs!

Alan Knight apparently said a lot last night on the Quay. I missed it, but would be interested if anyone has the transcript of what was said. But i gather it was not good?

This has been on the cards for a while as it was Robins and Storrie that were effectively nudged aside when the circus arrived. I bet she has a few story's to tell and I guess if she has been treated badly will soon start to talk to some of the press.

You can get the Listen Again blurb at the quay website. Didn't say too much, I think he knows more ! but felt compelled to keep schtum for legal reasons. He's as p!ssed off as us tho! Tanya robbins, they said has gone from being on the Board (Finance Director) to a Finance Manager, this could simply be the case of reducing role and therefore wage !! In our ever more wage stringent capacity. Well done Rabbi, he is a tad monotone :-) PUP

Storrie won't walk. He'll wait to be pushed and take the money. Tanya wouldn't have had a big pay out lined up I expect.

well i dont think much of her financial 'directing' over the last few years anyway

Those of you wondering where the money went, should really should have seen the Gold/Sullivan interview on SSN, when they were installed at Upton Park this week. They laid it out very plainly...a club like ..say Pompey, sell a player.. say like Mullins, to Real Madrid for say £10ml over 3 three years, - stop laughing I am being serious…but then they sell that debt to a finance company for £8ml cash. …which can go anywhere, but probably not to the club we bought the player from as the sell on clause. S&G also stated that a certain Premier League club that they looked at had debts in excess of the company’s total asset value, and subsequently and confidently predicted that they would go out of business this season..they did’nt say who that club was....but it doesn’t take much thinking and guessing to guess just who that might be. However Jonathon Pearce on Monday sated that a bigger club than Pompey is also in very serious debt crisis, but that may have been WHU before S&G took control.. I hate being this harborager of negativity but I did say I could not see why Gaydamak wanted anything to do with Pompey other than to build luxury flats in an up and coming waterfront city…and to continue the family business of Money Laundering. I do think that we will go bust, be expelled from the PL, and then taken over by Pini Zahavi, as a shop window club for young African and South American talent. Which can be done easier and more cost effective at a championship level. Remember, the big clubs always send youth out to smaller clubs in a lower division; this would work the same way.

would it be pompey then?

She is still Company Secretary and Finance Manager. I think she has just resigned her directorship, but is still a member of staff.
