Wanted - volunteers to hammer in the nails!

Wanted - volunteers to hammer in the nails!

If anyone else is looking to get money from Pompey - which seems like trying to get blood from a stone - I suggest you get in that line pretty sharpish!

Nails are being handed out for our coffin and as Sol Campbell is no mug, he has taken up the option on his as he has looked to force himself nearer the front of that queue by handing in his writ over unpaid money yesterday.

Udinese have today confirmed that they are taking up the option on theirs as they have confirmed that they ARE taking us to court over unpaid money.

This money relates to Sulley Muntari's transfer to Pompey in the summer of 2007.

£3.5m of the £7m we signed him for is still owed and in a bid to get the money the Italian club have confirmed, to The News via a spokesman Gabriele Brune, that they are taking us to the Court of Arbitration for Sport: 'we are unable to make a comment on the transfer of Sulley Muntari at this time.

'This is because the matter has been referred to the Court of Arbitration for Sport. It is a matter for the court and we won't make any statement.'

I wonder what Friday will bring; hell we still have Thursday evening to get through first!

Roll up, roll up...

This has been on BBC news all afternoon but I was too depressed to make a comment. The way things are going your last comment is too serious Rug

Do you all remember a time when 3.5 million was peanuts . . . . . . . . . . . . . that's the problem, it never was, we had been sold the dream that it was.

Makes you bl00dy well wonder, when who it was that bought us, had all this info in front of them of what was owed to who. How the hell can we not have settled this bill when we sold Muntari 18 months ago.

Matt, my thoughts also. Why can't the PL have a rule that if a player is sold on then any outstanding balance on the original transfer is paid immediately.

How much are we actually owed as a result of selling players; I bet payment is by installments and there are probably a number of installments outstanding.

Yes Oldblue it is another good point that answers a lot of the "Where's the money gone?" boo boy morons. Of the transfer takings since 2008 we have only yet received about 60% of them on the installments.

i reckon we have spent roughly £90m on players in the last 3-4 years and i dnot think we had even a quarter of it to spend!

Where the HELL was our Chief executive when all this money was made and should have been paid? There won't be any more instalments coming to us. It was factored out ages ago and went into and has come out of gaydamaks pocket by now.

Gandor, according to HMRC our Chief Exec was salting large chunks of it away in hidden accounts in Monaco. Our chief exec says he can't have been involved cos at the time the money was paid into Milans account in Monaco Pete says he was on his hols in the Sth of France- erm Monaco- Sth of France- get a map and another alibi pete! I still think HMRC are using Milan and pot to *****in pete as a way to get Harry
