Go back from whence you came!

Go back from whence you came!

Yet another name that continues to be 'linked' to the exit gates is Mike Williamson.

Last week, or was it this week - I lose track of time these days - he was off to Newcastle but according to sky sports, who 'understands Watford are closing in on a deal to bring Mike Williamson back to Vicarage Road,' he is going back from whence he came...

Quite clearly the thoughts 'Watford are thought to be still owed money from Portsmouth for the original deal' are the case or the guy would have played for us by now - the fact that he has not even got a look-in during the FA cup speaks volumes, right?

What a truly bizarre deal this would be if he went full circle, and what a waste of 6-months it has been for everyone!

I hope for the sake of everyone though that we just tie this up quickly, if it is even happening, and do make this a deal where he goes back for good - not on loan - and any money 'owing' is written off as a result...

Also, and instead of starting ANOTHER article about players going, I will include here this time!

Burnley continue to talk about Dave Nugent with their new manager Brian Laws telling their official website that our troubles, the fact that Burnley want to keep him and Nugent 'does not want to go back' leaves them in the 'driving seat' to do a deal.

It is obvious what all sides want but I also think that we cannot let it be ripped it out of anymore and should not lend Burnley a player that we continue to pay a fair amount for that could then deliver another nail in our coffin?

If they cannot afford him now, what makes anyone think they will be able to afford him in the summer?

So why, like I say, continue to foot the bill for someone else - all in all this is a no win situation unless we sell him, and Burnley, like most other clubs it seems, are not willing to buy!

On Thursday evening sky sports 'reports' that Newcastle have had an offer accepted for Williamson...

Basically we shouldn't fund anyone else's premiership survival campaign...

if burnley can pay all nugents wages, and a loan fee, they can have him. if not, they should f*** off. Williamson though - I think it would be best for everyone, if he just went back to watford. something is clearly stopping him playing at pompey, and he's costing us good money!
21/01/2010 16:53:00
Not a premiership player, do a deal which means the write off of any monies owed and lets have him off the wage bill.
21/01/2010 16:58:00
As for Nugent, pay up or shut up. If you value the player then make a valued offer.
21/01/2010 16:59:00
Quite succinct and accurate bluedr... though I'd like a bit of a fee - even Championship players are worth a few 'k

Re Nugent, our strikers are off, we are short we have good reason to recall him now and let's see if Burnely want him. As for williamson, well that just shows you what Garts judgement was worth; and might I remind those who think I'm knocking numpty Hart that he said " this player was on my list before I knew of the financial issues" - so yes I am.

Why is it that many things seem quite straightforward to fans but very difficult to management. Unless Avram Grant becomes the Greatest Man in Pompey history, we are, at the very least, going daaan. Dindane can go back to Lens, Williamson back to Watford, recall Nugent from Burnley (or buy him, you barsts - we paid 7 million quid for you, you useless piece of *****e, and you can't even learn to play football to show us a bit of thanks - YOU [and that tw*t Utaka - how completely and utterly stupid we were to sign you - Redknapp you toss] are two of the reasons we are in this mess) sell The Wonderful Kaboul to, well anyone really for ten mill, Jamo to any Prem Pompey Clone (Stoke, Birmingham, Burnley) with thanks, David, Finnan, you whinging git, we saved you from Spanish Hell, be a bit grateful, play your heart out or naff off, Mullins, we'll need you next season, sorry for the abuse from some, we should start litigation against the signer of Aaron Mokoena, any team that 'rubs their hands' at the thought of a transfer (Blackbum) should be slightly suspect, Diop, you've been well paid during (what seems like) years of injury - repayment NOW, please, Ricky Hughes, I've been a supporter (occasionally out of embarrassment) of yours for All Time but, an offer from The Blue Square Premier should see you gone, now, Prince, you try too hard most of the time and bugger everything up and although you are a bit spesh, sorry but an offer of 5 mill + should see you gone, Basonarse, you should have been a permanent fixture, so it's your fault - try harder for Christs sake, and apart from the Scummer goalie who saw us coming, that's it. I've given up on this season, it doesn't matter anymore but I want a team to support NEXT season! Pompey til I die.

Et-tu, did you used to be Stavros?

And breathe....

Call me old fashioned if you like but if we sell YK & Williamson whos is going to play Centre Half?
