Lua: Sign Me First
Lua Lua has just one year left to go on his contract and admits he would like to stay but wants to know where the club stand with him.
'I hope I can carry on playing here and push on, but you never know what's going to happen in football,' said LuaLua.
'I'm not saying I'm going to move but you never what is going to take place next. I want to get over this injury and come back fitter next season.
'Hopefully something will be sorted out because I have only a year left on my contract. I have got to think about myself.It's up to the club but it is always nice to know where your future lies.'
Vital Pompey understands that Lua Lua will put in a transfer request if he is not given a new contract this summer.

if we are serious about being a top ten team then we need to sign lua lua as part of the infrastruture of a solid team. else we go trapsing aroud the market place signing wannabees. with a bit more focus and direction lua lua could be among the top scorers next season.

Agree with above comments, but should players really put in demands such as his. I think Milan looks at loyalty first, many players do not. Yes we need him but is he treading a dangerous path ?

He's a very good footballer without doubt. His problem is that he is what i call a 'luxury' player. You have luxury players in your team when there are 5 or 6 great work horse type players around them. We do not have that quality (yet). Lets get D'ale. That man has ball control, can cross a ball, has great skill and vision. He will also chase back to his own box to get the ball back AND................ HE PASSES TO HIS TEAM MATES !!

Depends on what his demands are really, if he is after silly money then cash in, if they are realistic then why not, still think he can improve.

I don't know if you are right there ash. He may be able to improve, but will he? Why did newcatle let him go? He's not a team player, he's selfish and he only tries when HE wants to.

he's been great for us, easy to forget when he doesn't play for a bit and we do o.k

We did ok in our last 4 games, and that could have been because we played as a team.

His trickery is still a great asset. I want him to stay but I wish he would button it sometimes, and of course think of others.
