Will the transfer ban be lifted?

'The transfer ban will go on and the debt goes unpaid', not my vote, yours - although these findings from pentonpompey's poll are thoughts that, to be fair, seemed likely but perhaps are not necessarily thoughts I would entirely agree with to be honest...

Mark Jacob has had plenty to say over the past 24-hours or so and seems confident that we can have this lifted and moves in the transfer market, both loan and money wise, 'may' start to be the case in the next week?

To be fair on this poll had it been run since Jacob started talking it might have seen a different outcome perhaps? All we can do now is wait and see, although to be honest this month - and perhaps the opening week or so of it more so, were always going to be the weeks that answered a lot of questions for us, right?

So, we are still on for this being the case...

I am not convinced that the debt will be cleared but would like to think that the immediate debt that needs clearing will be cleared, although this might not be enough to see the embargo lifted?

  • What the poll asked - Will the transfer ban be lifted?

  • How you voted - No way! the debt goes unpaid 44%, Won't matter, board wont buy anyone 21%, Debt will clear but too late 15%, Of course! we will clear the debt 14%, What ban? say the transparent board 6%

Before we move on what are your thoughts on what the last poll concluded? You know what to do, thoughts below please guys...

kabouls rumoured to be up for £14mill, which if that came off it would be enough to get in 2 or maybe 3(provided its not all gonna be swallowed up on repayments...)

I'm a bit more hopeful now Rug. I'd love to see who these players are on AG's shortlist.

I am very positive.... Wasn't looking at the net recently because things were hurting me. But now, maybe something unexpected will happen. If we have a £14m offer for Kaboul, we have to let him go. Who wouldn't? Even Man City!!

My understanding it is a price Pompey put on him to ward off possible buyers; it is not a received offer price. People should also consider he is the defensive core, there ain't much better on the Market, a good old can score type striker is what we need
    russellm
i agree russell but surely we would have to sell him if the offer was £14mill. But on that note newcastle was relegated due to, imo, selling their goal keeper when in our position. it is a massive gamble but we need more players...better players.

Just hope the 'powers' will lift the ban & not use it as a stick to keep beating us with. If they see us an embarrasment to the prem & would rather have us not in it, then we may be stuffed.
